Is this possible to play with short fingers? I barely reach where I am supposed to with my pinky finger and it strains a freaking lot! Help would be great , thanks

Thanks for the awesome video! Just started learning this today after starting guitar last week. I posted a video of my progress in one day for any beginners interested in what I was able to get down in a day

First I thought I couldn't play this, practiced casually for a few days and it's getting a little easier, got the picking somewhat down now just gotta play it at the right tempo (105bpm!!!) What helped is really getting those chord shapes down and practicing transitioning, the alternate picking seems a little tough at first but it becomes second nature the more you do it. Still can't figure out how Frusciante sings backing vocals though...

I’ve been play playing for 5p6 years and I learnt it in 15 minutes and it’s a realy nice rythym and it’s not too hard if you get it took click in the groove

Its strange.because you have to start off playing it slow. But when you do play it slow it doesnt sound right. So you try to play it faster then completely lose it. Frustration

You need long fingers to really nail this and play it cleanly. I really don't know how Frusciante can move around and put on a show while playing this well as he does.

The 6 steps of truly learning this song: 1. learn picking pattern riff..[ok] 2. play riff in time (105bpm).. [ok now it's tricky] 3. play riff in time for 5 minutes! [ok, let's see you do it!] 4. [thank God for the other parts to recover on]. 5. come back in perfect 105 timing! [!!!] 6. play it as breezily and as effortlessly as Frusciante [OK, NOW YOU ARE REALLY PLAYING IT]
