The volume of the clearly fake slap 😅🖐️💥
Ответить(Long Text Alert)
The mother calls Violet “selfish” when she was the one who throughout the movie kept making decisions with little to no concern about how her daughter felt or what could happen to her just so she could get what she wanted, examples:
-there is a moment in the beginning when she shows of new emerald earrings she got from one of her “clients” and Violet asked if she could have them when she grew up (considering she is 12 years-old or so) and the mother could have said yes without really meaning it or said something like that she was going to think about it but no the mother called her dumb and made it clear that if she has something that good she was going to keep it for herself and never share it even with her own daughter;
-she keeps telling people Violet is her little sister instead of her daughter which in Violet’s shoes must be really heartbreaking to hear that, as if she didn’t even want to be her mother or was ashamed of that;
-she took naked pictures with her daughter in the room and still she was only concerned about flirting with the photographer and later when Violet opened his bag to try and see the pictures the photographer slapped her in the face which made her cry and she ran away and the mother didn’t do anything about it, and when the photographer went after Violet to apologize and explain why he got mad (exposing that material to light could have ruined his work) the mother walked to him and looked at Violet with and indifferent look and said he shouldn’t bother because Violet “just wanted the attention” (which is very hypocritical of her because she is the one who keeps competing for attention and acting like a victim), a grown man hit her 12 y/o daughter and she couldn’t care less, actually she was more concerned about having his attention;
-she seems to be jealous of her own daughter when she should be concerned about it as her mother, like when she was with a client when she went to talk to her and he was looking at Violet, probably preying on her, and her mother told him with a condescending tone that Violet was still a virgin and took him to another room to please him, in these moments it’s noticeable that the mother feels jealous whenever a man seems to be interested in Violet instead of her so she said that to make it clear to him that she wasn’t an available option yet, but also she said as if her kid being a virgin was a bad thing which led Violet to think losing it was a good thing and think she wanted that in order to others stop looking down on her;
-she let them auction her even though she knew how horrible it was (she hated working there for a reason) but still she didn’t care because her mother did it to her and she wanted her daughter to suffer just like she did;
-when she got engaged she left Violet behind because she wanted a “respectable life” so badly she was willing to abandon her, she said she planned to tell her husband about her (which she did later) but truth be told if she wasn’t willing to leave Violet behind for good she would have told her new husband the truth before they even got married, when she wrote Violet she didn’t even write the sender address with the letter because she didn’t want Violet to know where she was living or write her back, which says a lot about how their mother-daughter relationship is a one-way road, the mother never wants to listen to her;
- when she came back in the end to take Violet with her she didn’t care if Violet wanted that or not or how she was living she even got their marriage annulled even before meeting them again, you may say she had the right of doing that because she was her mother but I think after the things Violet went through she shouldn’t be treated like a child anymore, and she lectured the photographer guy who married Violet so he could take care of her framing him as the bad guy as if he did something heinous when she was the one who allowed Violet to be so exploited that he wasn’t doing her any harm by that point, for me it looked like she was only angry at the guy for wanting Violet instead of her;
- in the final scene we see that she dressed Violet up with an innocent little girl outfit suggests that she was going to pressure the girl to act as if she was still innocent (mentally and physically) despite of everything she went through just so she could fit in her “perfect life” whether Violet liked it or not, she didn’t care, also it was probably too late to give Violet a normal life, she was happy in her ignorance because she thought the things she did were “normal” but finally understanding how awful it was would probably damage her psychologically even more, just imagine it she could never tell a friend her age the truth about where she came from or what she used to do without being judged by it;
- the mother never ever apologized for the things she made her daughter go through even though she knew how awful they were
Susan Sarandon was such a babe. 😍
ОтветитьI've never seen this movie but I am intrigued especially after watching a Brooke Shields interview last night where she says she stands by this movie, that she's very proud of this movie and that it's her favorite movie she's ever worked on and praised the artistic creativity of this film. :>
ОтветитьNever heard of this movie until now. Looks like it’s good outside of the whole p3d@ situation
ОтветитьSarandon’s such a slag.
ОтветитьDisgusting!!!
ОтветитьSusan Sarandon is a disgusting human for advancing her career with movies like this. Brooke Shields was 11.
ОтветитьSusan Sarandon doing to Brooke Shields what she did to the country in 2016.
ОтветитьTeri was actually very smart allowing Brooke to do this movie. She knew Brooke had been raised right and could handle "the leap". Alot of people (me included) didn't agree with or understand it. 45 years later it was a brilliant decision. Brooke is a wonderful actress, model, wife & Mom, & a ton of that foundation is due to Teri Shields !!
ОтветитьThis is a sad movie but in reality it happens it's sickening
ОтветитьBrooke Shields was 9 feet tall even at the age of 12.
ОтветитьSo many uptight commenters here apparently not realising that this is just a movie. ;) And a very good one - especially as it manages to prompt such strong reactions.
ОтветитьDoes the woman in the striped shirt have a day job as a jockey ?Or is her specialty in the house kinky stuff ?.
ОтветитьI LOVE THIS MOV SO MUCH.
ОтветитьWhen I say she ate that slap. I mean she didn't even flinch or move 💀
ОтветитьWhat did they do for birth control back then?
ОтветитьAll about a dollar
ОтветитьChild molestation at its infancy
ОтветитьThere was a whole article about a “fuckable” a 12 year old was it is horrendous
ОтветитьAnd you know what? This is the reality of many kids in the world...even worse
ОтветитьThere was no need for this movie to be made. This movie was made by pedophiles and everyone involved in this is an enabler.
ОтветитьShe's been slapped before
ОтветитьThis is just literally pedophilia packaged as art.
ОтветитьUnpopular Opinion: this film should be in the disturbing film category up there With A Serbian Film (2010) Salo (1975) and I Spit On Your Grave (1978)
ОтветитьI'm disappointed in one of my favorite actresses Susan Sarandon. How could she have taken that role in the movie about child exploitation
Ответитьcompletely lost any respect I may have had for S. Sarandon for agreeing to be a part of this lunacy. Nothing but a piece of trash as well as the french director and Brook's mom.
ОтветитьPedos must circulate this movie in their private groups. Pedo movie makers for pedos entertainment.
ОтветитьHollywood is disgusting. I can't believe this is real.
Ответитьwhat the hell slapping a 12 yr old
ОтветитьDeymm... Brooke Shields is irresistible
ОтветитьNO AAH WOHNT
ОтветитьThis movie must be banned
ОтветитьApparently Susan Sarandon pinched and hit Brooke on the set because she was jealous of her
ОтветитьFor those that havent watched this movie, brooke was underage i think 12 at the time and there were scenes where she was fully exposed.
ОтветитьPedophilia at it's finest! This is why they're so perverted. They're actually in positions where they legally make pedophilia movies. Such a evil soulless deranged bunch.
ОтветитьLittle Brooke shields is so gorgeous
ОтветитьHEY IT LOOKS LIKE BROOKE SHIELDS AS AN UNCLE FESTER MOLESTER TOO.
ОтветитьI feel so bad for brook they really used her as a sexual figure and she was just a baby and I that poor child being slapped like that I think everyone who was producing this movie and the actor's who was abusing her should be in jail I don't know how she turned out so normal
ОтветитьWoow cool baby
Ответить2021 lol
ОтветитьI am here bcoz of tiktok
Ответитьthis is disgusting...i can't believe this had been filmed. Brooke Shields was 12 fricking 12!
ОтветитьPretty baby peut être traduit par "presque un animal de compagnie "
ОтветитьSusan Sarandon was an awful mother in "King of the Gypsies"
ОтветитьSo respectable that she leaves her daughter in a bordello. Good parents get out of those places and take their kid with them.
That scene was completely wrong. Mom's got all the control and she needs to drag Violet out that door with her.
Today this movie would have been cancelled. Total exploitation of a child and a horrible message. It's nauseating.
