The TRUE heart of Texas! Fastest growing city in the state (mostly Californians fleeing from their own longtime voting mistakes, lol) and the most historically significant. Hope it doesn't grow too fast or it's gonna suffer the same fate as my home city of Los Angeles, ugh...

I love SA’s skyline BUT it’s still probably one the country’s most disappointing/underwhelming skyline’s (especially for a city of its size)

Superb footage! I'll be shooting near the convention center in Dec. I'm not super familiar with the area. Any pointers for flying in that area? Launch points? any tips would be great!

The Downtown area of San Antonio truly is nice and beautiful, but outside of downtown the city has some major problems traffic being the big one. The traffic in San Antonio at times ( keywords being at times) can be far worst than any other Texas city. I have literally sat in traffic for hours and only move a few feet not exaggerating either. Most of the time you give up exit off and try to come up with some crazy bizarre way to get to your destination which also takes a considerable amount of time to zigzag your way to get their. If you work downtown and live anywhere North of 1604 you have to get up crazy early to avoid sitting in bumper to bumper traffic all the way into downtown. Housing developments are built with no infrastructure in place so just getting out of your community is guess what? A traffic jam. My advice is if you move here find something close to your job or settle on getting up early and leaving before the traffic hits to save your sanity.

214 dude: Austin will probably never surpass San Antonio in population. San Antonio's urbanized area is much larger and you can see the difference by just driving around the city. Austin does have more taller buildings downtown than San Antonio but citywide San Antonio has many more high rises all over. Austin doesn't have no notable high rise buildings outside the downtown area. It also has a much smaller urban core. San Antonio's downtown has far more amenities which is more important than skyline.

Just to give scale of San Antonio skyscrapers; the Tower of the Americas is 750 ft, followed by Mariott Rivercenter 546 Ft, Tower Life 541 ft to flag, Weston Center 444ft, Grand Hyatt 424 ft, Frost bank 400FT, Bank of America Plaza 387ft and several towers over 300 ft. The Alamodome PIllars are over 300ft. There are several high rises U/C and planned from 250 to 400 ft. The best thing about downtown San Antonio is how vibrant it is, one of the most lively city centers in the country.

Great footage! And with any other city I've been to in the U.S.; I couldn't emphasize this as near as much as this beautiful place!....Between those old and new high rises; there is sooooo much
to see and do! If you haven't been down town San Antonio; I guarantee it's worth the trip, no matter how far you have to go to get there! ( Guarantee does not include July and August, though! My favorite times are warm & balmy February - May; and October - December!)

I wish movies and TV shows were filmed in San Antonio.
