Unfortunately samsungs monitors has this Scanlines issues :/ and so far there has been no fix for years. I like the monitor except for the scanlines issues which shouldn't exist on such a pricy monitor

Anyone who can still recommend this monitor after some years of use?

I'm considering MSI Artymis 27/32 or Samsung Odyssey 27/32 Monitor - which is better?

Be careful when buying this monitor, I bought the 32" version 2 years ago and the screen has detached at the top, leaving a gap where light comes through and dust gets in. Hey Samsung, how about upping your quality assurance on this pricey product?

bro do you have 2 very light grey lines in the middle of g7 curved monitor.

i recently bought same monitor and i run white screen test, i can notice there is 2 vertical lines in middle of screen. Technician visited my home and he said these lines are in all curved monitor because it is the area from where we divide inside sheets.

this monitor has LOTS of issues, that buttery smooth comment in his video - if you noticed when he dragged the window you could see a pink tinge appear on areas that should be white - I have seen this issue with monitors on display so it's not a camera issue. The motion blurring is horrendous even at maximum overdrive settings ! surprised he did not cover that - there is visible black smearing still despite the tricks used to cover it up, it's still there and it's REALLY bad though in some games you notice it less if at all - but motion blurring is an issue all around with any motion, it's horrible - so yeah if you like playing your games with added motion blur, flickering, smearing this monitor is for you, if you were used to playing games on an old monitor with a TN panel, despite the shortcomings of TN, if you move to VA, you will pull your hair - they make TN panels seem way better - the motion blur and smearing issues of ALL VA panels budget or most expensive cancel out the benefits like contrast ratio, colour, blacks, the fact is ALL monitors today suck - ALL of them, be it IPS or VA, unless you fancy paying big money to get OLED and don't mind burnin, colour phasing wear, uniformity issues, and low life span of OLED, the fact that people refer to VA monitors as gaming is a big fucking joke - black smearing is one thing, but I cannot live with full on motion blurring, because it's terrible and it is a HUGE deal on those fucking monitors. Also if you look closely at his video, there is visible glow, especially in the middle, due to the curve, so if you use this monitor in a lit room, you will see that glow, or it could be something similar to IPS glow, either way it was horrible - and uniformity was horrible also on both edges, being darker on both edges, yep terrible review, he is praising this monitor when it is all hype, - as far as the UFO test, it is very blurry the 240hz, the 60hz actually looks sharper but has motion trails, I'd settle anytime for motion trails than a BLUR, basically the G7 is like applying a motion blur filter to everything, same effect, I am shocked to see it being praised. a well known PC shop here has stopped selling them because the return rate on these was extremely high because of how bad the motion blur is and how bad the curve distorts the image and uniformity of colours and brightness - I've even had comments of people preferring to repair their old TN monitors until they release something decent, maybe by 2030 or 2040 - or when they make better and longer lasting OLEDs.

I found a 32" G7 for about 640 CAD, an open box item in like new condition. I have been extremely happy with it at that price, but it was retailing for 900 CAD when it was first released, which is rather expensive. I have seen it for as low as 700, but that was already over a year after it was first released, but definitely much more competitive at that price.

Don't worry too much about actually hitting anywhere near 240 fps unless you're doing ultra-competitive online gaming. The responsiveness of this monitor is more valuable than the fact that it can do 240hz, but the two go hand in hand. Having very minimal motion blur is really nice to have, even if you're "only" running a game at like 80 fps.

1440p? Is this not a 4k monitor?

Bought this monitor 1 week ago and i regret...thinking it is fast but it is not for fps games! My old monitor Gigabyte m27q rev 1.0 170hz feels much faster in FPS games... i tried all monitor settings but it just feel slower than m27q...

Playing on this screen since 2019 and I want to have another gaming setup, which I guess will use the same monitor with IPS panel instead of VA but still need great PC since i7-10700k & RTX2070s run most of the game around 100-150 fps except EA sports game.

The monitor described in this video does not match the monitor in any of the links. Of course this is 2 years old, so maybe Samsung did something, but there are multiple G7's apparently, and some do not have UHD, nor are they curved. Very confusing for someone wanting to buy a nice monitor a couple years later for hopefully a cheaper price.

Terrible monitor much better options are available

Bought this, the halo ring to mount on a vesa arm is weak AF, the flex in the metal from adjusting the monitor for just 2 days has induced quit a bit of wobble at the monitor. All to incorporate a silly glowing ring that I can't, nor does it get bright enough to notice with the monitors on, anyway!? horrible design (dead pixel too so returning)

I just got this monitor. How do you chnage the HDR Profile

I just got mine yesterday. It's nice. BULKY as heck, it takes up much more desk space that my flats, but regardless, it's beautiful. The lack of ghosting is the most impressive thing about it to me.

i had heaps of issues with screen flickering on certain games on my 32" G7. There is currently a class action in the US about the issues lots of people are having with this series of monitors and Samsung monitors in general. my advice would be to google 'screen flickering' before you buy and be ready to put your money towards a more reputable brand

Eh, exact same pixel density as a 24" 1080p screen, i.e. kinda bad.

Can you install a monitor mount into this

DO NOT BUY! Seriously, do not get this monitor, for nothing else than the scanline issues!! Essentially any task you would use this monitor for darkens the screen, and makes incredibly visible lines across the entire display. This is not due to a defect of any individual monitor, but by Samsung's choice of panels, meaning EVERY non-oled odyssey has this issue! Additionally, if this is your first curve monitor, know it is an AGGRESIVE curve that is very uncomfortable to look at.

If you're looking for a mid-range monitor, DO NOT GET A CURVE, they're pleaged with either ghosting or scanlines at lower prices, only consider getting one if you're willing to pay +$1000, and even then, DONT GET A SAMSUNG!

Ihope someone answers . I have this monitor 32inch 240hz . When i turn my pc it takes about 15-20 or even more seconds to turn on after that it only displays windows . Is that is issue or it is how it should
