Love it
It’s Ben Franklin!
ОтветитьI love your enthusiasm and the recipes of years long gone are fascinating to me. I think I'll make this soup thanks to you.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing all the recipes that you looked at. I was really happy to see all the research!
ОтветитьFirst I've seen this new guy. I like the original creator more for the historical introductionsl but I actually prefer this guy for the cooking portion. Ideally id love to see both do each part of the episode!
ОтветитьPeter from the Family Guy now does a 1700's cooking show. Cool
Ответитьhis attire down to the way he cooks, he is like that friendly tavern keeper that has a passion for cooking for weary adventurers
ОтветитьSplit pea soup made with carrots and onions is the perfect winter food. All you need really is water or broth dried split peas, onion and carrot and there is so much yummy flavor
ОтветитьCaramelized onions are a dandy snack by themselves!! 😂😂 Pro tip, caramelizing them with a tiny amount of fried pork, mixed in with the usual butter, at gives them a beautiful, robust, deep flavor. I have caramelized them with a variety of oils, but salted butter still reigns king in my book.
ОтветитьI did this style during the winter vortex in Texas a few years back and it sure came in handy along with some potatoes. Very hardy and satisfying.
ОтветитьThen, on the other side of this meal, is the gastronomical fallout!
Locked in a tiny cabin in severe weather with a room full of people ripping butt from the gas onions cause…not fun!
I could go for this right now yum!
ОтветитьDude's look like a lovely bear
ОтветитьCabbage , Onion, Garlic, Patato ... + game ( meat ) ... smoked and aged in salt or honey meat ... that's it ... Not to mention mushrooms and many roots mixed in soup with smoked and aged meat
ОтветитьIdk why but this guys glasses bother me lol.
ОтветитьLooks fantastic! Thanks for the recipe and history 🤗
ОтветитьLooks good
ОтветитьIf your starving or havnt eating in age days anything will be a treat.
It will taste better then ever before.
This is the first video I have seen with this presenter. He did a really good job. Kudos, man.
ОтветитьThat soup looks so much better than modern French onion soup. Given how cold it is right now, a good hot soup would hit the spot.
ОтветитьI feel like it could use mushrooms. idk if that was possible back then.
Ответитьfpanks!
ОтветитьBigos is better
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьDon't waste the eggs whites , can make some meringues with it.👍
Ответитьприготовлю!
ОтветитьIm from Maine and winters up here are hard already couldnt imagine them without fancy heating and 4 wheel drive SUVs
ОтветитьI made a small batch of this with water, no broth, and red , yellow and white onions, and it came out FANTASTIC!!!! Will do this one again and off to make the potato soup next. I really like these simple/meager recipes.
ОтветитьThese videos are always amazing. I love the history and the recipes
ОтветитьHarika bir kanal 😘
ОтветитьYou can use the egg whites in potato pancakes to go with the soup.
Waist no food .
Look you were yalking LEAN TIMES FOOD STOCKS LIMITED . So why throw away the egg whites . They can be used in a cream mushroom soup dont waist calories.🤔
ОтветитьMade me think about so many commonplace things we take for granted every day, and how valuable and irreplaceable they really are.
ОтветитьI just made this today as it is -45C where I live, and onions are my favourite vegetable. Not only does the house smell amazing, but this is the best onion soup I’ve ever had. I baked a honey oat loaf to go with it and they are a great complement. I caramelized the onions down for two hours and the flavour is superb. Thank you for sharing this beautiful humble meal.
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks
ОтветитьI literally LOVE this dude. He sold the hell out of this soup lol.
ОтветитьValheim und onions
ОтветитьYou look a lot like Gabe
ОтветитьThis Place Real Kitchen
He Real Chef
You have some wonderfully interesting glasses! Are they custom made? I've never seen anything like them
ОтветитьThere’s nothing better than an awesome soup! My favorite soup is chicken noodle soup. The classic one that has been around since 1934. 🍲
