I'm currently talking with someone famous whom I've had deep respect for for years. I was put in contact with her completely by chance through one of her best friends. My feelings are quite strange about it really because I've come to know this person probably better than any of her "fans". Not being able to talk to anyone about her is hard for obvious reasons (her privacy) but it's also hard not being able to share my experience with anyone else. Things she says or shares with me I would love to talk to someone else about it as quite honestly it's overwhelming that she trusts me to such an extent.
But what I've learned most from my experience I would say is that our idols are real people, they may appear superhuman to us, but they're not and we should not only remember that but respect that when we finally get to meet them. (And before anyone asks, no I won't say who it is I never would, and I don't care if you believe me.)

Not gonna lie, I don't get the celeb status hype 99% of the time, especially if you don't actually know them. I mean, it would be cool and shocking to see someone you like, but some people (usually girls) start crying and getting hysterical.
