*Chris Watts allegedly had two other mistresses in addition to Nichole Kessinger. Trent Bolte came forward after Chris was arrested and said he’d had an affair with him from June 2017 to April 2018, but the police didn’t think he was very credible. Another was a woman who said she had a one night stand with Chris in March 2018, after meeting him on Tinder. She said he played out a “rape fantasy” with her and she didn’t meet up with him again.

I'll never understand how killers will sometimes do the most sus things after commiting the act. Why would you unenroll your kids from school moments after you killed them? Wouldn't the cops find that out? How odd...

Interesting. Nichol did lie to police. But she likely was not an accomplice to the murders. The police have more evidence than presented here and would have pursued it if the evidence pointed in that direction. Some of the points brought up here likely have harmless answers. Police would not have stopped pursuing her as a person of interest just because Watts confessed. In crimes of these types, the mistress is also thoroughly checked out.

It seems to me that Chris's resentment toward his wife was building and Nichol was like a bomb detonating in his life. He lost all reason and went mad, killed them all with haphazard planning. (How could he think no one would suspect him?) Would he had done it had he not had five or so weeks away from his wife and under the spell of Nichol? Possibly not. It could be that over a few more months, the affair would have cooled and he would return to being his wife's "best thing to ever happen" to her. They may have all still been alive today, relatively happy. Passion is a strange beast, and is a beast.

You know..I watched a video yesterday wherein the creator discussed how Shannan was a narcissistic, abusive woman and Chris's actions were a crime of passion. In the moment, he snapped and killed her. He then realized the girls were witnesses and panicked, killing them as well. HOW? HOW do you come to that conclusion after seeing all of this evidence. I'm taking every opportunity to complain about that friggin video.

The "significant other" is called his wife! Nichol you are the "mistress". Nichol is the second fiddle and she didn't want to be.

I could cry thinking about the fact Shannon never knew about the mistress. All of this happened, and she never knew the reason behind it. She’ll never know who her husband was cheating on her with & all of these details we now know. She’ll never know his mistress was stalking Shannon’s socials and planning a whole life with Chris. She’ll never know that the mistress told Chris she wanted to give him his first son. Shannon never knew any of this, she never knew he was disinterested in her, her son, or her two daughters. She never knew the real Chris because he showed her a completely different face. What a monster he is. The real devil.

Nichol is not the bad person in this event. Chris is. People need to stop putting blame on her. He obviously decided he wanted a "do over" in his life and made the decision that was his only option to achieve it. If it wasn't the relationship with Nichol, it would have been a relationship with someone else that sparked this horrific event. He approached and pursued the relationship with Nichol. After the fact of course Chris is going to try and shift the blame onto something or someone else to detract from his actions and dismiss to himself that he is a heartless cold blooded killer. Notice his slip up when doing the news interview. It came when he was talking about the kids. He said "Bella WAS gonna start kindergarten". I'm sure that was a huge red flag for law enforcement when they were doing the investigation.
