Ответить200 Euros no way, I can make that at home in 5 euros.
ОтветитьI think this is wonderful. I am in the United States. All my life I have been a consumer. About 10 years ago I really sat down and thought about things. I taught myself how to sew. I bought garments at 2nd hand shops and took them apart seam by seam. My profile picture is a dress I made my daughter from dumpster finds at the back of fabric stores. Now that my daughter is grown and gone I will be sewing for myself with the same principles that I've learned along my journey. I will use nothing new and repurpose the old. I found this video searching recycling saree's as I just bought 35 old ones that are coming from india. I am grateful to have found them and will create beautiful garments for me this time instead of my daughter.

Thanks for uploading, eco India
I do not understand why they do not wear them anymore? Why transforming them in something that has nothing to do with their culture, tradition, paterns?
Sari is India!
Anything else made from it is not India.
I apreciate the ecofriendly mentality and India needs more of it but not by paying the price of transforming part of their culture in something else. Please keep your traditional outfit as it is, not only because it is one of the most beautiful in the world but most of all because it represents your history, your life, your original colours and patterns, your cultural identity, your vibrant and elegant energy that fascinates the entire world!
May God bless you and your people from all India!
Super :)

ОтветитьIts interesting Because the Saree is Dead!!! Contemporary woman don't wear it much because its not practical for daily use. Most sarees these days are repurposed into curtains , kurties etc. Those who do wear sarees on a daily basis are from a certain lower economic strata. These women are bound to the saree for various religious / patriarchal reasons. The Saree as a garment is Beautiful no doubt but women living cities only wear it for a traditional occasion. Its everyday use as a garment has been dead for quite some time now !!!
