I began training calisthenics 7 months ago 2 times a week along some boxing allmost every day, i've increased muscle mass with just bodyweight exercises, but i belive that rings force you to do the exercises of push pull motion with more balance and slower so you can achieve perfect form when doing them resulting in high quality workouts.

Five Tibetan Rites, you can even do excercise #2 to train yourself to do shoulder/neck stands and excercise #5 and transition to a push up.
