Also, this sounds very much like the "refrigerator mother" theory of autism. Which has been debunked.
ОтветитьSo, what studies support your theory? This is very important. Because multiple studies, including FMRI studies, show that you can have ADHD without trauma.
ОтветитьOk but wasn't this present before as well 100 years ago? I assume not all children were well connected then. Why do we see more cases of adhd and autism now? Was it the same before and we just didn't diagnose it?
ОтветитьI wish I could talk to dr Gabor Mate. So much. Spinning wheels with my doctor for answers about why at 63 I develop
Painful anxiety.
It's good that we are starting to understand the reasons behind our issues. I have been to see a very helpful therapist today who pointed out the root of my anxiety issues. What is the solution though? Can we heal the subconscious or biological 'damage' that happened?
I have been struggling with alcohol addiction issues for the past 3 years, I need to stop so I can be there for my wife and kids.
The traumatization of trauma =
Vicious circle.
Catch 22.
= There is no end.
I must know who am I. Really.
Not just Philosophically.
Not Spiritually Speculating.
That's the end of trauma and of that traumatization of trauma (trauma biz 💸💲).
So... Who am I?
I AM what I am.
I am Pure Awareness 💗
thank u for sharing very helpful

ОтветитьWow, this was profound! I identified where my people pleasing comes from. Now how do I change that?
ОтветитьI was abandoned at birth never got the chance to be complete always knew I was missing something I’m a jigsaw puzzle with a piece missing.
ОтветитьWOW. Explains a lot about my life, sadly. Older and now wiser. Thank you so much, Dr Mate.
ОтветитьGabor, you are wanted and certainly needed. You have helped me understand me. Sad thing is I hate myself for being so dysfunctional due to maternal abandonment.
ОтветитьMy Mom left me and my brother at 12 years old. My father turned into a pimp. My mother left us with the same person who abandoned her.
ОтветитьWhat if a child loses his mother at age 2?
ОтветитьWow, insightful
ОтветитьOne thing a successful retiree never discloses is how they got to realize that the key to amassing wealth lies in making sound investments. I purchased my first home at the age of 21 for $87,000 and sold it for $197,000. My second home, acquired for $170,000, was later sold for $320,000, and my third property, purchased at $300,000, fetched $589,000, with buyers covering all closing costs and expenses. Not reaching a million before retirement feels like an unfulfilled goal|.
ОтветитьWhen the talk tiself is good, there is a deep lack of understanding how genetics work.
The heritability of certain traits, like ADD, is there. The genes dictate if the trait will be developed in response to the stimuli. So, the environment is still the key factor. But the genes affect the probability of developing a trait
Put a child with genetic predisposition in a healthy environment, and they will not develop the trait. Put a child without genetic predisposition in an unhealthy environment, and they will be fine too. But if both genes and environment collide - boom!
Of course, this picture is extremely simplified. There is a generational trauma effect out there as well. In addition to myriad of other factors.
This connection to ADHD is stunning
Ответитьi think just by listening and understanding my life bit more its already a begining of healing. thank you
ОтветитьI have tis from being given up at 4 months after keeping me
She was a selfish see you next tursy
The worst trauma of my life has been the sense of abandonment. To this day my relationships are affected by it, even though I want to move beyond it. My biological mother abandoned me, my stepmother emotionally abandoned me (also abused me), peers excluded me, school ignored me, society failed me, and even my ex-wife left me. It has been very difficult to divorce myself from those negative feelings that inevitable spring up, like a muscle reaction, when attempting to create healthy attachments and relationships. It’s been a long and arduous journey towards finding that secure attachment and healthy relationship that I so crave and need. I look ahead of me with positivity.
ОтветитьЭто на века

That's the collective. I'm happy on this side of town.
ОтветитьI like to say that you actually can remember things from babyhood I know I definitely can add rather not. Now that my brain has fully recovered some of the memories it keeps wanting to go back to it. I hate it.

ОтветитьCritical times hard to deal with
ОтветитьHow did my counsellor in a rehab in 2005 know something about me to the point of her asking me to ask my mother about my birth? When I did ask about my birth it turned out the she nearly died from her reaction to opiates and as such we were parted for two days. My earliest memory was deciding wether to carry on crying in my bedroom when my my father told my mother to leave me and making a decision to stop crying
