I absolutely do not recommend: Suicide Squad - Kill the Justice League (Review)

Am I the only one who can’t understand a thing that is happening on screen? Such a clusterfuck of particles and things on screen and UI

They really needed to pick better characters to go toe to toe with the justice league, I get that edge and "morally grey" is popular right now, but none of these chumps could even dream of fighting any of the justice league.

Every time I see a looter shooter I'm just thinking "how does this compare to Warframe" and this does NOT sound like it's even close to a F2P game.

Rocksteady should have been the ones to make Gotham Knights. A co-op game where we play as members of the Bat Family post Arkham Knight would have been a guaranteed success and a great continuation to the Arkhamverse.

The only thing wrong with them killing off Batman is that this is THE SAME Batman from the Arkham games.

Had this been an entirely new version of the character I wouldnt have cared, but they low key tarnished the legacy of Arkham Batman by having this be his end point.

Genuinely sad and a little depressing to think that the same Batman we played as who saved Gotham City in Arkham Knight went on to become mind controlled and forced to break every sacred rule he ever had, including the murdering of innocent people, before being executed on a park bench by Harley Quinn 💀

Good thing we have head cannon, because theres no way I can accept that this is actually the same Batman from the Arkham games.

This commentary slightly misunderstood the Batman backlash. It’s not that Batman is a sacred cow or even about the Kevin Conroy passing. It’s the perfect storm of this being “Arkham Batman”, Kevin passing, him getting killed by a character whom he literally swatted away in previous titles, the way this game absolutely destroys the ending and canon of the Arkham series. There’s just so much more I could write here but I think everyone gets the point. This is honestly one of the most depressing gaming experiences I’ve personally ever had

They made every single wrong decision, and they did so stridently and confidently, unaware or uncaring as to how it might be received. Because of that, they've created a bellwether of industry rot, combining the very worst of modern game writing, the worst of modern game design, and the worst of modern game monetization.

Do we want to talk about the fact that the boss battles are nonsense? How do you kill the flash? With the time thingy? How? Are your reflexes faster then the flash itself? And why doesn't he just crush them at light speed instead of playing with them, just like superman?

This game has only 10k players playing it on Steam and I doubt it has many more on the other platforms. It's Dead on Arrival after all these years of development probably WB/DC will cleanse Rocksteady or they will just shut down the studio as it's not profitable.

you " waited " 9 years for this is a lie. you waited 9 years for a new batman game. ppl keep projecting the old batman games on the suicide squad and that is not fair. the game is trash, i know, but they are not related and it's obvious when you play it.

mindblowing that this is rated 'very positive' on Steam despite half the positive reviews listing a dozen 'cons' and like 2 'pros'. I guess they really nailed the appeal for their target audience of mindless consumers. There's a kind of sad irony about the devs building a robust scalable end-game framework but not providing enough content for it to ever be worth while. I guess it doesn't get negative reviews because most sane people aren't even buying it, so only the Neanderthals who have no taste are reviewing.

If you would’ve asked me when this game was first revealed if this would have been the outcome. I would have emphatically said “yeah, this will flop like all the rest of the live service swings and misses”

The thing about harley quinn killing batman, you'd think she'd have amore emotional reaction to killing the man who she's pretty much been a secondary antagonist toward for much of her adult life. And depending on how you look at her origin it wasn't even her fault that she was batman enemy to begin with. So with the joker finally gone you'd think she'd ultimately feel some type of way about having to now really kill batman because why is she doing it now? The Joker isnt in her ear to tell her to do it. Oh i forgot. In this era harley is a girl boss. She's just insane for the sake of being.

weird how SS:KtJL got very positive on steam despite getting critically panned on all fronts. either there's some review manipulation going on, or there's a really dedicated fanbase that's ignoring all the problems and giving the game a thumbs-up.

The only way to tolerate this games, seems to be co-op where even the worst games can be enjoyable with friends.

Brand new live action AAA game that had a peak just north of 13,000 players on opening weekend. Feel like that tells me a lot in itself about the game.

Such a stellar premise. It's a shame that this represents the death of "hey remember that weird game?"

For example, Spider-Man Web of Shadows. "Hey, remember that weird Spider-Man game where everyone talks weird and is annoying, you fight street thugs at the start and ends fighting zombies, Mary Jane has a shotgun, you can rip Wolverine apart, Black Cat becomes a sexy symbiote boss and Venom can kill himself because he's tied to a bigger symbiote like an umbilical cord?"

And I'll always remember that game because it took chances. This could have been another game like that because of how emotionally resonant the promise of having the villains killing our heroes could be. Instead, I'm willing to bet that every time I am reminded of this game, I will immediately forget it exists again.
