I'm glad Christianity works for some people, I truly am. But I just can't wrap my head around people that are so called "Christians" that swear... drink... smoke... sex before marriage, gamble and have their dirty little illegal secrets, then on a Sunday just say sorry and it all goes away? Damn that must be soooo reassuring knowing you can rape anybody and just say sorry for it then go to paradise, women who spent their 20s having sex with anybody and now all of a sudden at 30 are searching for a good Christian man to have a family with. They see something awful happen to a person not of their beliefs and say "It's gods plan for them" but when it happens to them or a family member they flip the switch and get medical help or seek 'man made solutions' instead of laying there saying "Hey, god wants me to die right now it's his plan for me!" An example is the current Pope, very sick and old ( and rich cough ) but he's in a private expensive hospital trying not to die? isn't that going against god and sinning? I don't even want to get started on Religion having anything to do with Government, the word God shouldn't even leave a politician or presidents mouth, especially when it comes to war.

Anyway, I dip in and out of religions, I find them fascinating. And I understand some replies might be something like "We're all human and make mistakes, god helps us learn from them yada yada yada" But I believe if people were TRUELY one with god, they wouldn't even leave their houses through fear and would be screaming out to people about Hell, they would be completely scared for their souls, all their money would be going to other people to help them, they would be completely selfless. They would bring homeless people into their homes instead of walking past them on the street.

I would actually really love to have faith in my life, but there's just nothing I see that's real or genuine about it ( I'm talking about Christianity and Catholicism, NOT Buddhism, Buddhism is pretty spot on imo ). If anybody wants to have a discussion about it that would be awesome for me.
