I would love to hear a podcast of the book please, do you know where I could find one 🙏🙏😊
Ответитьthe term turf and gomer are pretty much used around the world today...
Ответить“Putzelize”
ОтветитьI'm currently a resident at "The House of God." It was surreal to read the book again recently and realize how much has changed yet how much has fundamentally stayed the same. I recommend it to all the Harvard med students who rotate with us because it gives a raw depiction of the practice of medicine, warts and all.
Ответитьi like it
ОтветитьRead this in the early '80s when a junior doc in the UK. Brilliant book. Told it just like it was
ОтветитьToday was my first day of internship and I feel like I need to read this book again. Thanks!
ОтветитьI met Stephen Bergman and Janet Surrey a few years back. Down to earth and amazing people. I was also a student nurse in the early 1960s when the Vietnam War was heating up and later worked in an OR. I like how the docs kept each other sane and enabled them to see it through. Great story. A bit like M.A.S.H. I wish there was a movie of this but then Hollywood would probably ruin it.
ОтветитьWhat about Potts?
ОтветитьAmazing. Shem is the man!
Ответить“Gomer” may be regionally restricted to the east; out in the west we just call them “frequent flyers” or “rocks”—because they never move off your service.
ОтветитьSo good. Animations are awesome.
