I still want to let you know the Japanese did one thing right, I won against Russia with inferior technology. Props to them.

“A series of coup d’etats and assassinations were carried out by a group known as the Young Officers.”

Suddenly the line “A group of young Erusian officers have seized control of Megalith, and a preparing to use it” from Ace Combat 4 takes on a much different tone…well, more than it already did.

My family knows I cry a lot at media, so they showed me some music video from Grave of the Fireflies and while its a sad story, its not an antiwar movie, its a "Dont join the Nazis" movie. Was really hard to get caught up in the emotions of it unless you think the Japanese were the victims of WW2. Sad movie, but my family doesnt get that I cry at bravery and self sacrifice, not traditionally sad things and its hard to feel bad for the Japanese the more you know about WW2. I told my family, just replace that Japanese boy with a Nazi boy and the little sister with a little Hitler youth camp brother, and see how bad you feel.

There was also an attempted coup to prevent the Japanese surrender from being broadcast. Its a great example of the unwillingness to surrender.

Hitler was cruel but what did the allies do to Germans? Did they do something great? Raped more than 70,000 women in Berlin. Same in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killed hundreds of thousands of civilians, same with Iraq, more than a million civilians and same with Afghanistan and pulled Ukraine into war against it's neighbors for a third place war. Then they sit on chairs and have the guts to talk about peace.

So grand strategically , strategically, operationally, intelligence wise, in terms of industrial focus and on the institutional level it seems the Japanese war effort was so poorly conceived. They got crushed by the Soviets on land and by the Americans at sea and in the air... it seems like they couldn't really do anything successfully unless it was against broke ass Chinese peasant armies (oh plus Civil War) or against Western countries' far off island posessions via a sleazy sneak attack. Honestly feels like they couldve considerbaly better if they were more strategic about their war effort (shifting greater focus to land or sea and improving military production and gear, like not getting code broken from the outset, intelligence and CI, not focusing so heavily on expensive ass but uselsss battleships at the expense of carriers, building some useful tanks if they were gonna challenge the USSR, like actually using their heads and having a top down strategy and doctrine instead of going ham separately on land and sea).

You missed an important fact. The Marco Polo Bridge Incident was not the beginning of a large-scale Sino-Japanese war. The Battle of Shanghai was. Also, historically speaking, if the west is sympathetic to Tibet, East Turkestan, Mongolia. Why not Manchuria? Why are people so afraid of a divided China which WWII Japan intended to achieve? As a Chinese person, I could not understand.

Looking at the current situation in China, the United States should have supported Japan, which is capitalist, to overthrow the Chinese Communist Party.

A significant per-independence Indian contingent fought for the British in Singapore against the Japanese. In the months following Japanese surrender, many men, some in my own extended family, made their way back to their homes on foot along the Andaman sea and Bay of Bengal coasts. They would recount those months when communication over telephone and even telegraph wasn't easy to access so all that your loved ones could do was hope and pray. I wish such dark times never have to shroud humanity ever again.

The Young Officers coup failed, its impact led the Control faction of the military to gain more power over the Imperial one (Kodoha), I understand the limited time available, but there are many inaccuracies in the explanation of the wars' outbreaks

It is important to stress what is noted at the beginning of the video. Japan was moving towards democracy in the 1920s. They curbed back on the expansionist policies that had preceded WWI. Moreover, the country implemented universal male suffrage, a multi party cabinet government, and expanded education. Japan was also a member of the League of Nations. However, all these efforts were undermined by the economic instability of the Great Depression. The crisis led to the rise of Ultranationalism and a shift back towards imperialistic views, allowing the military to take control of the government.

This video is Nothing but the US propaganda.
You must start with Nanking foreign consuls attack by Chinese in 1927 followed by Nanking massacre by the US shelling Nanking city in 1927, and how the US established the puppet country, Chiang Kai-shek , Republic Of China in 1928.

The United States intervened in the war between Japan and the Communist Party
After World War II ended, many Americans fought the Communist Party instead of Japan, and many young Americans died.

The United States, deceived by the Chinese, has repeatedly made the same mistake and helped the CCP.
I wonder why they don't learn.
