You guys are so entertaining!!! Between the CX5 and the Subaru crosstrack which would you to choose?
ОтветитьI enjoyed the clever dialogue in this one 😄
ОтветитьBad review, I know 5 people who tried cx50, no one said the seats were uncomfortable..,,none
ОтветитьSee, I love the Cx5, but I libe on a really bad dirt road. So idk. I feel like the plastic cladding will come in handy
ОтветитьI just bough the cx5, much sportier and sexy
ОтветитьFor us the CX5 is better choice.
ОтветитьI really like the cx5 I hate those body cladding on these ugly plastic things on these SUVs .
ОтветитьJust recently shopped for a new Mazda and came across these 2 cars. In my opinion, the CX-5 is just the more sensible choice to pick. CX-5 looks great even from the lowest $28000 base trim while the base CX-50 looks...goofy. Also the CX-5 platform is tried and true while there will always be potential problem with a brand new design at least in the first couple of years of a model. Also Made in Japan >>> Made in Alabama
ОтветитьMy 2014 CX-5 has 73,000+ miles on it. Except for the terrible infotainment system and the outrageously expensive GOTCHA attitude of the local Mazda dealer, I love my CX-5. I go to a local mechanic for about 1/3rd the price for regular maintenance. More tons of unrecyclable plastic from the CX-50 is NOT what the world needs! As a person concerned about getting exposed to sun rays, the bigger sun roof of the CX-50 is a negative for me. The less comfortable seats you both experienced is another negative. Except for those items, the lower wider CX-50 but higher ground clearance CX-50 is more what I would want in a Mazda off-road SUV. But I don't drive off-road and those negatives are too great for me to switch to the CX-50.
ОтветитьSay made in Japan is better without saying it, thanks for the info.
ОтветитьThe paint on the CX50 is totally damaged...the waves within the paint says it alllll
ОтветитьI like the CX5 and always my 1st choice, the 2nd is CrV, RAV4 as 3rd. I wanted a bigger looking car but don’t want to lose the feel of CX5 although it looks cute small. Ended up choosing CX-50, it just makes that X-factor which lacks the CX5.
ОтветитьI own the CX-50, but I wouldn't know what anything up my butt crack feels like😂. As far as the seats go, I believe they're really comfortable. My biggest complaint is the plastic interior door handles and pulls. The CX-50 is much more masculine looking and the bigger back seats.
ОтветитьThis is a helpful comparison. I had settled on buying a CX-5, but want a capable off-road mode that I don't think the 5 can handle, albeit I have taken my G37 Infiniti to roads it shouldn't have been on, so maybe the tires are what make the difference, along with clearance? I wish the CX-50 had the height of the CX-5, but oh well!
ОтветитьToo much sarcasm going on to tell if they are serious about what they are saying or just kidding around. How does this empower potential buyers to make an informed decision? The answer, it doesn't.
ОтветитьHaving plastic around the car is a good thing when it comes too protecting it from rust specially when you have winters.
ОтветитьI ordered a CX-5 last March and it arrived in early July.
My GT model in soul red with the luxurious white leather interior looks very upscale and classy. I test drove several SUV's before buying and IMHO, the Mazda CX-5 GT is far superior than the Toyota, Chevy, GMC, VW, Kia, Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Honda. Although it might be chump change for some, 50k is a lot of money for me! I spent 3 or 4 months test driving and reviewing SUV's and the CX-5 GT was the clear winner for me. Now that I have it, I am soooooooo happy that I didn't buy any other.
Honestly no matter where I go, I always get tons of compliments on this beautiful vehicle. It's only been a couple of months but I have absolutely "zero" complaints so far. Man this vehicle is so freakin' comfortable and luxurious!
After eliminating the others, it was a toss-up between the CX-5 and the CRV. It should be noted that I've owned several Honda vehicles, ATV's and a Side x Side. I can easily attest to Honda's awesome reputation for making rock solid reliable vehicles, however, the CVT in the Honda CRV feels completely unresponsive - almost boring, if that makes any sense. Furthermore, the Honda's interior is nowhere near Mazda's caliber. I mean not even close!
I expected so much more from the Toyota Rav4. Seriously, it rides like a tank and I found the interior to be poorly designed. To me, everything about the Rav4 feels cheap!
Please do not be offended if you own any one of the vehicles that I mentioned because nowadays, every car manufacture makes great vehicles. It's simply a matter of personal preference.
Love my 2023 CX-5 Carbon Edition. Just traded in my 2018 CX-5 Grand Touring.
ОтветитьI have a gold 2023 Mazda CX-50 and I love it
ОтветитьReally enjoy my CX50. Coming from a Subaru Forester and Mazda hatchback.
ОтветитьI think I MIGHT get CX-5 PREMIUM-and then later after I've had it a bit-- just REPAINT IT for a more active LOOK.. and even install some cladding!!! :)
ОтветитьI'm looking at 2024-- but this review will help me see the differences-- IF ANY other than styling... and I don't think there is that much. I just like the CX-50 LOOK better... AND YES I LIKE PLASTIC CLADDING--- fuck the opinions of the IDIOTS out there... (and there are far too many of them- know as demoncraps).. BUT I DO like that look of the CX-50 - and DON"T care what the f.. anyone else thinks.. Horse power and torque are the SAME.. so get over it. I do have high octane around here easily available.
ОтветитьI just can't get behind a CX-5, and I'm not sold on the CX-50. And neither are what I really want: another 6. :(
ОтветитьUh... more octane = faster (?)
ОтветитьThe base cx5 is much cheaper then the cx50 7k cheaper thats a big difference.
ОтветитьCan I finally get an answer about the Infotainment center in the CX-5: Is it or is it not a touch-screen? Can Apple Play, which seems designed for a swipe-touch screen experience, be used in the CX-5 with touch?
ОтветитьDifferent engine more horsepower than you can call it special edition if just only a badge that’s not
ОтветитьBeen driving through Notheastern USA and Im seeing a lot more CX50s. Both, the Meridian and standard version. Its catching on. On a side note, it looks tough! Doesnt look like most SUVs either. Except for that one Buick
ОтветитьYou can lock the CX-5 trunk from the outside. There is another lock/unlock button located on the handle, to the far right from the open/close button.
Ответитьhoping we can get the BT 50. any words on that coming to the USA? my 2015 mazda 6 touring is still running beautiful like the day I bought it. just need a 4 passenger truck now.
ОтветитьGreat episode!
ОтветитьI wonder whether the forced headlight on while driving is a regulation thing. Because here in Indonesia we can have just thr DRL for the CX-5 and all other mazda at least, while CX-50 launching in a couple of days.
ОтветитьCX-5 hands down. No fake vents and it's a sleeker package. Mazda should have updated the CX-5 and made that the CX-50 IMO. An 8 speed transmission would have helped the fuel economy. I own a 2022 CX-5 Signature and would not trade it for the CX-50.
ОтветитьSubaru is garbage why do they exist
ОтветитьI’m surprised to see that the 50 with the torsion beam did better over the train tracks
ОтветитьIt’s so weird to see Perelli tires on the Mazda😂. Let me ask it doesn’t make a difference
ОтветитьThe 5 is faster cause it’s lighter
ОтветитьMy car is at the collision center to determine if it's repairable or not (not my fault!).
The pinch seam is bent, so kinda guessing I'll be buying a car. Thanks for comparing the two!
As much as I'd like it to be repaired, I'll be okay with switching vehicles to one WITHOUT a CVT. Anyone who has driven CVT cars in very cold (below zero F, -18C, and beyond) will likely agree. They sound horrific, and the car stays in a low ratio for a super long time to warm up the CVT. Just not ideal for cold.
They should put the cx50 taillights on the cx90.
ОтветитьGreat review! I have owned a Mazda since 2005 from the 3 to the CX-5. I've been looking at the CX-50 simply because it tows more, but now I'm not sure. I really dont like the plastic cladding, and why would they put a big seam down the middle of the seats?? I'm just going to have to test drive one and go from there. Thanks!
ОтветитьThe Plymouth prowler content!
Ответитьeagerly awaiting the cx-50 hybrid
ОтветитьI prefer both the CX-30 & CX-5 over the CX-50 - which is too large, squared-off & clunky-looking for my taste. Also, the punishing 20" wheels & lower-profile tires are beyond impractical & all about aesthetics. I went with the smaller-sleeker 2022 CX-30 Carbon Edition instead & have been very happy & problem-free with that thus far.
ОтветитьAre you saying I have more length and girth? 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьThe CX 50 is absolutely gorgeous. Looking at this and the Mazda 3 hatch. Interested to see if the seats bother me enough to not get the car.
ОтветитьThe style of the CX-50 would have been such a home run without the cladding and fake vents.
ОтветитьNot only cx5 is made in japan, it looks 100 times better than cx50
ОтветитьThe Subaru are getting ugly
