I Tried Selling AI Art For 30 Days

dear artist, the art you worked for so long is getting mixed up with tons of AI art and this is really sad.
Not a lot of people will see it probably.
So why keep drawing?
Real art will probably be uncommon in the future. Not a lot of people will be good at it. Maybe you should record the drawing process and upload it as a video.

I had a similar experience with trying to monetize AI-assisted content. Even though I made a bit more than you did, it wasn't worth the effort in the end. My personal gold mine turned out to be data annotation for AI training. Pays significantly more for less work, and you don't have to deal with people.

I think its ridiculous for artists to be scared I haven't seen one beautiful or intriguing thing come from AI. Its souless crap. There is something wonderful about having something hand made that is one of a kind. The exclusivity of that has made art a better investment than stocks and real estate. Facts!My prediction is that the rainbow vomit gangster baby abominations produced by AI are only going to drive the value of real art through the roof....and create a lot of law suits from people using stolen images that have a copyright 😂

Oh man, thank you for being realistic. I was searching many videos to learn how to sell my AI creations online. Everyone said that it is so easy to do. But After I started I realized that it is not easy at all. I was frustrated and so stressed. This is the first time I see real situation. To be honest nothing is easy. we have to work hard. Yes I know AI is not real art work. But for me it is new way to show my creative ideas to world. I can't drawing. But I have lot of ideas in my head. So, Ai help me to make it real. I've spent an entire day refining an AI generated image to my liking. Occasionally to still at the end of it all not get the result you wanted. Artists are extremely valuable because they can make an exact vision. AI art is more like uh,.... you know that art where you flick paint at the paper? You don't know exactly where the paint will land, but you do know that you will have a bunch of paint dots on the paper after you do it. AI art is more like that. You know kind of what you are going for, but thats not always where you end up.

I don't know, man. If you can simply click and the AI draws for you, what's stopping the buyer from doing the same.

Man the only artist that are made about ai art are the ones who use photoshop to draw.

AI art is not a tool like photoshop LOL it literally creates high quality art in seconds by people who don't have an artistic bone in their body. Nothing like photoshop at all.

To be honest AI art is basically cheating . Because it gathers images and art styles of other artist .! Wiithout permission. But still im glad my job is not involved in art. I’ll definitely go broke . But sometimes technology can be a dual edge sword

When normal art from artist for full body character cost ~120 (atleast it's my price for char with background and most of artists from USA have around same)

As an artist, it’s not right to replace art careers and jobs with AI art that anyone can generate on the internet and make money. There’s so much to art than AI art. The reason why artists make art is because it conveys emotion, self expression and allows artists to get creative or artistic. AI Art can’t do something all artists can do is convey emotion or self expression in our art because that’s how I feel the same about art too, and same with music. I’m making my art my career but I am still deciding if I want to continue doing art because I don’t want to hear so many negative things people say about doing art as career or job when there is a career or job. Art is more than a career and job it’s an art and we artists convey emotion through art, and it takes hours to complete a painting or drawing we put a lot of hard work, effort, and time into it. This is why non-artists should aim to understand than underestimating artists, and we deserve better.

I am a musician and composer myself, but I don’t cry over the new wave of AI generated music. I use tech and AI to enhance my music and production. I really don’t get the term “real artist”. Either go with the flow or get perished. AI is the future.

It is ripping from already made art rember the Getty images lawsuit that's still on going a bunch of ai art had the Getty images watermark and remember the art station firestorm where artist were removing their art and putting the no ai logo and messed with mid journey and stable diffusion for awhile

I can’t agree it’s only a tool, if I hand you a pencil (tool) do you think you could produce the same art even if I gave you a tablet you couldn’t do it. I’m not anti ai art but I think selling it is causing more harm to the industry.
