The first time I saw Advocado Toast was when I worked as an intern at a 5 Star Hotel. To be honest it did look nice though. Egg + Advocado + Bacon + Cayenne Pepper + Cheese + Rye Bread Toast. It was very tasty! However... $20 is indeed a rip off.

As someone who has type 2 diabetes. Veg noodles allows me to have a lower carb alternative and even before my diagnosis was a regular staple in my house. I'm actually a little offended at how little thought was given by the, "I really don't understand it as a substitute for regular life." comment. Before we crap all over a health trend we should look at complete collection of perspectives.

I knew secret menus were garbage when my sister was going to Starbucks (circa 2012) and was going to order the “Neapolitan Frappuccino”, and said she would ask for a vanilla bean Frappuccino with strawberry flavoring and chocolate drizzle. If it’s on a menu… why aren’t you just asking for a Neapolitan Frappuccino?

My sister bought a bunch of birthday cake ice cream on sale and I didn't eat it thinking it was something else. When I finally found out it was basically an ice cream cake without having to buy a birthday ice cream cake I friken lost my mind.

I love pumpkin spice. The season starts and ends at just the perfect time. I think, like a lot of things, people think it's healthy when there's no health benefits at all. With the avocados, I've heard on several occasions that they import hives of bees for pollination, then gather the bees back up and truck them hundreds of miles to the next farm.

Some of these "facts" are not true. I remember birthday cake being a flavor way before 2012.

The part where they talked about carb substitution was the most tone deaf conversation I’ve ever heard. There’s people who literally cannot eat gluten for health reasons. I have a friend who if she’s anywhere near gluten she can have a serious health scare. If you’re gonna do something with carb substitution maybe research why they’re in the world. And yes, some people have to be gluten free or carb free on a day to day life basis due to health issues.

Okay but I really love pumpkin spice. I’ll admit pumpkin spice lattes aren’t my favorite but like pumpkin spice poptarts and pumpkin spice Cheerios and pumpkin spice special k and pumpkin spice coated almonds are bomb and I love the vibe of it and the vibe of the season. I also loved making pumpkin foods. I once made a pumpkin thyme Mac and cheese and it was surprisingly very good. Pumpkin just goes with more then you’d think

In regards to the pasta substitute, some people don't have options. But beyond that, what's so hard to understand. It is much healthier.

These fads and trends happen because some white women saw it, took a picture of it, sent it to their Instagram friends to rant and rave about it, only for marketing teams to pick it up and sell it back to people. Ironically, this whole channel was made on the back of this cycle
