Mixing colourful greys | Winsor & Newton Masterclass

Why don’t you create a chromatic black like Gamblin did but contains ultramarine blue and burn umber or burnt sienna instead of selling opaque, dull blacks? Just an idea

I love these videos. They always inspire me to get out the paints and try the technique.

Good tip for acrylic painting as well. Many beginning artists make the mistake of using colors straight out of the tube which are often overly bright in hue.

I enjoyed seeing how some of the mixes turned out, but I wouldn’t call any of them greys.. muted & desaturated, but not grey tones, unless my understanding of grey tones is lacking
