Sadly this dog was clearly abused with castration and it is understandable that you were not able to achieve a high level of training. I feel you did a reasonable job given the dog you had. While I think you could have done better if you did had more experience with the breed as a inexperienced trainer Zak did okay-ish.
One thing you could do that would help you improve is to learn about the proper tools of dog training and also learn about the proper safety techniques. When you have dogs in crates you should not have them in collars and harnesses due to the risk of strangulation. You should also not be walking George with so much bulk on him in terms of harnesses plus bulky collar. George would clearly be more comfortable if you worked with him using a less bulky tool approach.
You're such an Amazing person, just finish the George's serie and, of course, i cried too. Love your work ❤
ОтветитьNot gunna lie, I was in tears at the end. My heart broke too.
You did good, both of you.
Great series. I learned a few things. Sharpened up my knowledge and felt the bond then the heart ache 😂.
😊
I’m actually heartbroken to see you give away George. I know it’s the point of this series but I think he was your dog soulmate.
ОтветитьYou guys are simply grate ❤
ОтветитьI have watched the first George episode then 3rd,, and last u did a great job u too guys great training 👏 and happy he has a nice family to live with ,,I have an American Staffordshire bull, and they really are great breeds across the line
To have as pets ,,thanks and good luck 👍
Go through all this and could have kept the damn dog, they got a new dog a couple months later
ОтветитьGreat job Zak 👋👋👋👋
👌
I need to do the door stays with mine. They don't know that. I enjoyed your interaction with George, so had to watch his last video.
Ответитьwhat i can say that george is the same in all espect as my dog cooper. in color ,attitude and with all that love to give. i cry when i see your dog go with other person , but i know that you put the dog to an amazing person. my dog is now 1 year and 2 months and he like to go the the beach every mornig , hanging around and swim , when the water is warm.
Ответитьgood bye george you are beautiful and very clever im so happy you found your forever home be happy sweet fur baby
ОтветитьI like the part when you said “leave it” and that his “leave it” is really good. Then he goes back to chewing on the suitcase and then you say “leave it” again and he stops and goes back to sniffing the suitcase and then you cut the video. I wonder how you got him to fully leave the suitcase alone. I guess that’s the part you don’t show.
ОтветитьWill George have anxiety issues with another family?
ОтветитьLetting a foster dog go is hard, but that’s a life you have saved! And it frees you up to help out the next foster dog. I’ve done 41, though not with quite such great training. 😅 I’m glad we have your content to recommend to adopters. Keep going, Zak and Bree!
ОтветитьPlease if possible, do a follow up video on George!
Ответить😪
ОтветитьThen why!! its unnecessary.
ОтветитьHang in there you are a wonderful person. You are a great trainer so patient. Love following you.
ОтветитьStumbled across your page and binge watched your journey with George!! So enjoyed watching and learned so much!
ОтветитьIt’s amazing all the great job you do. Thanks for sharing these videos with us.
ОтветитьGreat video. I work at a shelter, and the common goal is adoption. The ultimate success. We have at least 30 pittie mixes Zack can have anytime
ОтветитьPotty Training ?
ОтветитьMade me cry. But so glad George has a great home.
ОтветитьI’m about to adopt a 1 year old pit bull terrier mix tomorrow as my first dog. Def gonna invest in that ball as I’ve seen dogs choke on tennis balls
ОтветитьOh my god. I was literally crying with this episode. I loved the Moira series but this one touched me personally. George reminds me so much of my own American Stafford, Neo (7 years old now). They look so much alike and like George, Neo is just as smart and just overall a very good dog. It was amazing watching this journey with you guys and George, I felt every emotion you had in this last episode.
Now I'm on the brink of getting a second dog, hence why I am following your channel now (I watched the Inertia series completely and loved it).
Keep up the good work, love what you and Bree are doing! Best regards from Belgium.
P.s. I would love to see an update on how Moira and George are doing now? Maybe I missed it in recent uploads.. That George is a beautiful, amazing dog !!! (so was Moira by the way)
I’ve fostered dogs and it’s so hard to let them go to their new homes, but if you don’t move them on you can’t carry on fostering. It’s great to get messages from new owners and see photos
ОтветитьI havent had a chance to give my little speech that u will never read yet, but I will say is that this series has taught me a lot about things I could use to help me, in my personal life, with myself. At the end of the day, as a scientist in the making, I am an animal, and George is an animal. With discipline, guidance, patience, and consistency there is nothing I cant achieve. Even when bad habits are already in place, the light is, and will always be there at the end of the tunnel. Thank you, for an amazing, inspiring, heartstring pulling series. ❤
I am as proud of you, as I am of George. What a dynamic.
I have a foster that I think I’m going to fail. It’s so hard to give them up.
ОтветитьYou keep doing this and your helping a dog get a for ever home I hope and now you con help another dog giving a dog a chance of a new life with someone that wants him to do it all over again with another dog you should be proud of your shelves thank you both of you and thank you what you do giving a dog a second chance
ОтветитьI'm surprised you waited till the end to teach wait at doors. I find that one of the best ways to teach I'm in charge.
ОтветитьLove this series! Love that George came home to IL, we live in the suburbs too! Really glad you enjoyed Chicago. We in the veterinary industry appreciate all the accessible, free training available for dog parents (and especially for all the Covid puppies!!!!)
ОтветитьOmg! He looks exactly like my Jasper💕 awww love you George
ОтветитьThat was a great series of reality dog training. George was such an amazing dog. So lovely to see Zac enjoying him xx
ОтветитьComing from a pit bull owner, your training videos of George have been fantastic and I salute you. Thank you for doing such wonderful work!
ОтветитьI'm so happy for George and his new family!!
ОтветитьZAK: IT'S BEEN A MINUTE SINCE WE DROPPED GEORGE OFF
2 SECONDS EARLIER
2 DAYS LATER
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS USA
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьI'm crying T.T
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьI actually keep in contact with both of my rescue fosters. Well, one is the niece of a person I worked with for 8 years and I only learned she was a foster when our lives went different directions, but they are FB friends and I have contact info and every now and then, they get photos, etc.
ОтветитьSure would be nice to seei George again. Am in tears....love you George!🤗😘
ОтветитьYou guys are just so sweet and caring. Amazing work, as always, and here's hoping George is a super happy doggo!
ОтветитьMore shelter dog series please :)
Ответитьwhat a beautiful thing you've done for George, Pitbulls and George's new family! Such a selfless gift! Nice work you guys!
ОтветитьI don’t know how you let him go😢
Ответитьso sad!!!!!!!!!
