Ok - so, I dropped the ball on this one. I missed the last long from O5-5 to Daniel DeVorn. The log was after the footnotes of the article which is the point that the majority of articles end, it was a pretty huge mistake on my part. I promise to do better in the future and won't make a habit of it. I'm sorry to "The Great Hippo" and my listeners.
ОтветитьSpare a thought for why was going through the heads of the IRV Silent Spring’s crew as their brains were getting ripped out of their bodies and assimilated into one another.
ОтветитьWhat would happen if instead of going feral the SRA were to go postal ?
ОтветитьCorporate politics was the real monster.
I'm afraid it's one of several monsters that the Foundation can't contain even if they try.
I like how the fact that pushing more SRA's into service causes an increased failure rate of existing SRAs--a clear sign that the foundation doesn't actually know or understand what these things really are or how they actually work.
ОтветитьThe voice acting is just phenomenal <3
ОтветитьWhy was the GoC helping the Foundation?
Ответить"If you cant handle the risk of working with SCP, maybe you should get a job at 7-11" This insult is now classified as an SCP as Dr ■■■■■ was immediately burned upon completion of the sentence
ОтветитьYour skills as a voice actor make this audio drama sing. I believe and am swayed by every character, even as they contradict one another. I never get tired of this. Excellent work!
Ответить"...Sufficient to turn the most dangerous Reality Bender into a purring kitten..."
Whoever wrote that clearly has never owned or been in a household with a kitten. Yes they purr and squeak and are adorably cute, but they'll also try to cheerfully murder anything that moves.
I can't help but think this SCP was written (and written excellently, of course) as a reaction to the growing number of SCPs which just threw SRAs at any problem and they'd magically fix them. A perfect illustration of why emergency systems can usually only mitigate a problem rather than actually curing it.

ОтветитьPhenomenonal voice acting
ОтветитьAwesome!
Man made horrors within my comprehension and reality!
~2023 Post OceanGate
I need to know the guy who played Prof. Gambheer Bakshi! that speech at the angry section was so masterful and i was just HOOKED!
ОтветитьSCP-3241: Neoliberalism
ОтветитьYour voice for the sub captain is your best ever! 😂
ОтветитьI love this inner conflict of SRAs. It’s makes the use of them in files viable for explaining containment while simultaneously not being a “I have a T Rex, ain’t forcefield dog!” Miguffin.
Also if you get that reference you are to old.
Can we just appreciate how incredible a voice actor Volgun is? That accent when talking about Raymond was AMAZING, I forgot it was Volcan for a bit!!
ОтветитьFuck me bro, the Voice Actor for Prf Gambheer fucking killed it. God damn.
ОтветитьMe being a ship nerd knowing that’s not a steam ship firstly shouldn’t have the designation of S.S. Clearly is a motor vessel or motor ship so it should have a M.V. Or M.S. prefix
ОтветитьThe voice acting in these videos is always top notch, but this one seemed to be on another level. I can't speak for the accents (I thought they were great) but the emotion and delivery was perfect. Damn near made me cry.
ОтветитьThis is far and away one of my favourite SCPs. It feels so unique because the actual SCP isn’t really the focus of the article. The Sommerfeld is basically a MacGufin. An object that only exists as a plot device in service of the story. The real danger isn’t the SCP, but the SRAs and the actions of the characters in the story.
ОтветитьWhat the fuck is happening? This is so much more complicated then the old man...
ОтветитьSS Chavez 🚢
ОтветитьI like your version of this SCP better than the Exploring Series' version. Your excellent voice acting really adds to this.
ОтветитьWho ever did Bakshi v.a.... gold medal! I truly felt his intense guilty and sadness!!!
Ответить"Old man Jenkins"... A deliberate reference to a character on SpongeBob?
Ответить"God help us all if [a Scranton Reality Anchor] ever goes feral." That would be SCP 3005
ОтветитьPoor Raymond...
ОтветитьThank you so much, love the production values. Cheers and best wishes.
ОтветитьHas to be one of my favorite scps
Ответитьisnt scranton the town from the office? duuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmbbbbbbbbbb
Ответитьdamn, I cried a little at Bakshi's part
Ответить"It would end with us laughing, while we sipped ice-cold beers, and made bets on how long it'd be before all our monsters got tired of your screams."
In the words of Gordon Ramsay, "It's fucking RAW!!"
lol near Flawless track record and then SCP-3005 is redacted that it's an SRA
ОтветитьThis was really fascinating. The concept of parts of a person turning into glass was almost sublime in its sheer horror, never seen that before.
ОтветитьI didnt know SRA's are canonically failing. Do we have any reasoning?
ОтветитьSurvivor’s Guilt. It’ll haunt you like a phantom.
ОтветитьI think I need to relisten afew times. I'm not sure if this an SCP or getting mad at SRAs for handwaving reality bending anomalies
ОтветитьOK, SRA's suck. But what is the alternative?
ОтветитьI love it when Scranton reality anchors start malfunctioning.
ОтветитьNone of these narrorations have made me fucking sob before but 'angry' got me it got me so bad
ОтветитьProfessor savorny sounds like a biatch
ОтветитьI wonder what is causing the SRAs to fail at an increasing rate.?
ОтветитьWe have to find some way to neutralize the SRAs within SCP-3241, I don't know much about para-science, but I know what happens to equipment that melts down, when I was a kid I worked at my father's engine shop, there was an old motor we used to lift various heavy equipment via a chain pulley, one day the damn thing ignited itself and caught fire and smoked like crazy, we tried to turn it off but it wouldn't respond to anything, we had to evacuate the workshop and only stopped until it exploded in the most violent way I've ever seen, at least until I joined the Foundation. Then I saw even more violent events...
If those SRAs are equal to that rabid engine, it's going to be some of the worst shit we'll ever have to deal with. And about Daniel DeVorn... I personally think that the words Jackson Voccola, MY teacher who taught me almost everything I know, are incorrect... Today's Foundation can make certain exceptions, Daniel DeVorn is a huge exception ...
