I was fueled by four cups of coffee that day (for the most part) – HAHA! A heartfelt thank you to each one of you for supporting my brother's channel.

Now, let's dive into your questions. Some of them might just warrant a part 2 video for a more comprehensive response.

Absolutely, the building I'm in is showing its age for the price I'm paying, but we didn't venture far outside (for the most part :) ). If you're after spacious living, it's either embracing the charm of the old or trekking 40 minutes outside the city for a more affordable option. Venture beyond that, and your nearest shop might just be a 7-11. It's not exactly ideal out there and not many things do for fun, but it's a popular choice among foreign teachers because of the affordability. You can find similar spaces in the city, but be ready to shell out 150K-200K baht a month, typically in Siam or Silom China Town area.

The apartment boasts 84 sq ft and is pet-friendly, although my current lifestyle doesn't allow for a furry friend.

Someone in the comments mentioned paying $400 more than me in Atlanta. Bless you, my brother, but you can keep all of ATL compared to my current life. I'm enjoying exotic fruits and a massage right now, amused by the comparison. No need for guns in Thailand, and we've got a BTS Train line connecting every suburb in the city. I'm living next to every popular attraction, a 5-10 min walk or train ride away. No more spending $80-$150 a week on gas and being stuck in Atlanta traffic.

Let's talk about why I pay a premium for this stress-free life.

I live across the street from one of the main and popular hospitals in Bangkok, only a 5-minute walk.

My lobby has a Starbucks, cleaners, a dentist's office, and multiple massage shops with 6-8 security guards. I'm across the street from a mall and grocery store, a 20-second walk with over 30 restaurants inside, and a massage shop charging $9 for a 1-hour Thai massage. Another mall, a 2-min walk away, houses an ice skating rink, bowling alley, movie theater, modern gym, free co-working space, and a happy hour bar. Over 50 restaurants are right outside my door.

I'm a 5-minute walk from the popular Tichuca Rooftop and Octative Rooftop Bar. A 10-minute bike ride takes me to Sugar and Bafros, the Afrobeats club. Right next to the bus station, I can easily travel to Pattaya, Chaing Mai, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, and Chiang Rai. A 5-minute walk also gets me to the WeWork office.

Yes, Bangkok has traffic, much like New York, Atlanta, and California, but it's a better version with the train line, pleasant weather, and everything at your doorstep in the morning. No need to let my car heat up or carry a gun to Whole Foods or Target. No 40-minute traffic jams for a quick grocery run – everything is right outside my house.

I've got over 8 cafes right outside my place, including a 24-hour one – perfect for work, dates, or if the internet decides to play hide and seek.

You can also enjoy the convenience of direct flights from Bangkok to vibrant destinations such as Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, and Laos, typically priced between $50-USD 200. For those exploring Thailand, nearby cities like Phuket, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, Krabi, and more are easily accessible at a range of $25-USD 50.

The list goes on and on! Did I mention the bespoke suits tailored to perfection within just 24 hours and delivered straight to my doorstep? Every week, a skilled chef prepares all my meals through meticulous meal prep. To add to the convenience, a team of five dedicated cleaners handles my laundry and ensures my living space is immaculate, all for the incredible price of $30 USD. Living the dream with a touch of luxury!

At the heart of it all is sheer convenience. When you juxtapose Bangkok with the likes of America, the UK, Australia, Brazil, and Colombia, the undeniable truth emerges: the unparalleled ease of saving both time and effort sets Bangkok apart. A lifestyle that embraces efficiency, allowing you to make the most of every moment without compromising on convenience.
