I agree that foreigners who lived her longer from Bangladesh,Rohingya etc gets different treatment but there are other issues such as legality of entry and generalization from Msians who are racists or people who have bad experience with them. For tourists tho it's completely different, they are guests and will be treated as such. If you all watch more travel interviews in SEA foreigners do point out Msia is really chill and they feel a sense of belonging here compared to other SEA country as we've everyone from everywhere. We should however treat our foreign workers better and cherish our multi cultural country

Most Asian countries are very quick at bringing up colonialism and how " bad" it was. However the truth is, the colonisers were white! White skin is still the number one envy for them. They worship white skin. The Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis are the new " blacks" of Asia. The Chinese in particular are the worst for prejudice against all dark skinned people. The Malays were a humble, God fearing, peaceful people. However since their privileged positions they acquired over the last 40 years or so, SOME now assume an elite role and treat everyone else around them as inferior!! Despite that, I would still say Malaysia is still a wonderful country. I guess it is no different to many countries in the west.

Most of race have similar attitude which lead to racism not tryna be defensive but try living in malaysia for 5 years and you will know what i mean. Not all people with that race is the same but if one news come out we already know what kind of person and race are they

funny thing is that here in Malaysia... foreigners arent discriminated especially from the EU.... but when comes to fellow southeast asian, they immediately become racist... no matter if u r Malaysian going to the Indonesia or Thailand or vice versa.

Try asking international students, who get discriminated in government universities with their visa problems, being only white in the class, nobody helping with their problem, they suck their all money for tuition but they don't even get chance to get 1 month extension visa in order to attend graduation ceremony, that's why they fly back home and come back for 2-3 days to attend graduation! I even remember there was Palestinian friend who applied for renewal visa in his 2nd year of studies in UM visa unit, officers in charge took a picture and when he asked why are you doing that, officer said, you are foreigner here, shut your mouth I can kick you out of this country! Try asking real expats/students who struggle

Immigrant = a person who lives permanently in a country other than that of his or her birth.
Expat = foreigner who moved to a country TEMPORARILY

I also didn't face /find any kind of discrimination in Malaysia until now & i have observed 60% (I have shortage of time) that black peoples are also satisfied in Malaysia.

No problem for tourist with money, or skill workers. Usually those with UNHCR card and those who worked in pasar borong may get discriminated & racism. For US Europeans & China, we might see you as spy haha

The question of whether foreigners or tourists have encountered any discrimination while visiting Malaysia is quite irrelevant. Most Malaysians, especially in the capital of KL, do not really think it weird when foreigners visiting our country because we are accustomed to seeing them around. In actuality, we warmly welcome all visitors to our country, even if we are aware that they may be from Israel. The only reason some of us could come off as a little reserved is that we might struggle to communicate in English. Therefore, some people are attempting to avoid conversing due to this restriction. If not, we wouldn't care about who they are or even wish to discriminate against somebody we have never even know them.

Speaking as a Malaysian, yes people here worships Caucasian, but discriminating towards darker skin/ foreign workers.
We also hate each other races, yet it is strange that people here still so proud of themselves.
In other words, Malaysian are shitty, just like the rest of the world btw.

For myself as and expat here people are so nice I have lived in Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines and Malaysia. There was not any racism here or anywhere. I am Australian and we have a very diverse and multicultural society so maybe I don't notice it but for me it has been a great 10yrs living abroad and found my wife of 8yrs so has been good to me.

That's a strange intro - you can't "look" or "not look" American. It's not an ethnic-based nationality/citizenship like Korea, Japan, Hungary etc. If you want to pursue this logic, you totally do "look" American, because anyone can qualify to do so.
