ОтветитьDifference between eSport and Sports is that, you can get really good faster in the game within months or a year unlike sports where you need to build up your physical capability which takes a long time. Except of course for those gifted ones in sports and eSports.

ОтветитьTi is where i learned hologram is real
ОтветитьDota 2 players these days are the high school kids from before that just got older and have a job now but still plays Dota. That's why they could contribute this huge amount of money. Unlike the other esports where kids are majority of the players, they only have a limited amount to spend that's why the newer games don't have that big of a prize pool.
ОтветитьТАГАНРОГ ГО БУХАТЬ
ОтветитьI think the biggest donator is a prince from dubai he spends like hell.
Ответить“Good hosts”. Cringiest people in the world
ОтветитьAnd now its $40M 🤷♂️
ОтветитьMan I remember watching the first TI when the prize pool was no where NEAR this lmao
ОтветитьHaha funny remark in the end, Pointing to prize pool "Eh! I'm pretty good.."
Pretty sure one of the alliance players back in Ti3 almost had to drop out because his parents told him to stop wasting his life on games and get a real job (correct me if I'm wrong) .
Then he won $1,437,190 (shared with his team) but still probably a few hundred grand at least not including sponsorship money.. I think he managed to change his parents minds then :)
Lets go that certain arabian prince.
Ответить2021, prize pool was 40 mill.
ОтветитьLakad Matatag, Normalin normalin!!

ОтветитьI quit dota, but I sure watch The International.
ОтветитьCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEB!
Ответитьwhat more if our community is not toxic?
ОтветитьDota international in 2021 after covid hiatus has a prize pool of 40 mil
ОтветитьAnd this was 2 years ago
ОтветитьMoba? Mobile? Its played in PC
Ответитьteam spirit back then watching this:
Lew : get better at dota, do something for yourself.
T.Spirit in TI10 : ....and i took that personally
The amazing thing about this prize money is that Dota 2 has a very static playerbase, i.e they gain little to no new players. Most of them signed up to the game since 10-5 years ago, but these loyal players are the ones who kept the game floating lmao.
I mean even lower bracket players are either those who have played for a very long time but stuck in the same brackets or smurfs. Almost nobody new actually try to play this game. But I don't think this game will die anytime soon.
And even with these static playerbase, Dota 2 is arguably the most interesting esports to watch, thus they will always retain a high number of viewers in the big competitive event because even those who doesn't play Dota anymore (myself included), would still gladly watch the event.
we only contributed like several percentages on it the rest goes to valve, still fair enough tho considering the entertainment we are about to get every TI.
so yeah
if the contribution is like 100% the prizepool would be like 100M something
This time TI10 was $40M
ОтветитьStarts dota gets stuck in herald
ОтветитьDota2 has battle pass figured out
ОтветитьSumaiL is the biggest player of Dota no doubt he started at 17 so.... it’s up to the player
