I fucking hate this song
ОтветитьMatching the LUFS of both the mix and master would be nice, do that it’s possible to hear what the real differences are. I also feel like he’s using a lot of words, but not really saying much.
ОтветитьMastering with the masters
ОтветитьWow. Watching a true master speak his craft. Amazing content
Ответитьsound too straight, you can't hear the anatomy of the drums, voices, you have used automatic technology at advanced settings
ОтветитьThis what an alpha male looks like, my friends.
ОтветитьWow! It's just amazing the way he's describing all the approaches and technics he uses in such ease. Sounds like he's reading a poem. And I love the improvements in the track. BTW, using those ATC monitors must also help. :) Well done. 👏
ОтветитьI have the same functionality in my car... 🤣
Ответитьit is hard to hear the difference when the processed one is so much louder....
ОтветитьI only clicked on this cuz you’re seriously handsome
ОтветитьCan you please master my track using analogue? Do you have a website I can pay and send my track ?
ОтветитьMaster with the Mixer
ОтветитьLiteral bullshit artist. Get a fancy studio, add some multiband compressor with some saturation, use some fancy words to explain what you're doing, and call yourself a "masterer". People will believe you.
ОтветитьSmall Suggestion/Feedback: It would be great if when you toggle the "Mastering" knob, the level did not change. I feel like we'd have a most honest A/B without the mastering mix getting louder when we're A/B'ing (which ass we all know, is usually perceived as "better")
Ответитьmost streamed sonsg on spotify = earned? nothing:)
ОтветитьI did volume match manually turning volume knob on mix/master switches - and it sounds as it was said: -0.5db here and +0.5db there - something you wouldn't ever notice on matched volume if you won't be explicitly told. Listen original mix at a good volume and then lower volume of mastered mix to match and you'll hear that 99.9% of it is a great original mix and if you won't have been told where is the better version and pick what sounds better at the same volume - answers will divide near 50/50. Imitation of rough activity with 0.5% result and you can't say for sure is it 0.5% better or worse. But yeah, making Master louder does the trick, client is happy)
ОтветитьSounds great at mix and master. Good song a good song.
Ответитьthis guy has won music
ОтветитьMan, this engineer's vocals are so compressed I literally see the attack and release knob tweak themselves in front of me in every word he utters.
ОтветитьIt just sounds like you just turn the volume knob up and down to me.
ОтветитьEverything he says makes sense and is densely presented. The result also speaks for itself. Great video
Wish though it would be gain matched beforehand, although it's easy in this case to do it approximately manually while watching video
I’m in the minority here but the mix sounds better than the master. More dynamic range and with more feel. The drums sound more natural. It’s not a “glued” and slammed! The master is slammed with compression. Louder will give you instant impact but over time it will be fatiguing to listen too! That’s what never gets considered. Great for the single, terrible for the record.
Ответитьthe Manley
Ответитьyou've do nothing
ОтветитьAwesome video- that wet/dry toggle is so material!
ОтветитьLol at over valuing the importance of your job. That track could have been put on the radio before he did anything to it and it would have been a hit.
ОтветитьMost of the percieved difference is the level of loudness. When level matched, mix isn't that much different between mix and mastered. When level matched, the first thing I noticed was the mastered version has compression pushing the vocals back into the mix - glue'd.
Ответитьtldw: compression make sound gooder, sometimes bad sounds get loud, so EQ make bad sounds go down.
ОтветитьIs he talking about mastering the song "Happy" or advertising the instruments??
Ответить5 mins in...man, show don't tell!
ОтветитьI enjoy the mastered version, personaly.
Ответить💯💥💥💥💯💯👏👏👏🙌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьEveryone who has ever flown QANTAS hates this song…
ОтветитьBut i would like listen to mix version and mastered version level matched.
ОтветитьCompletely unnecessary. Just another hand taking from musicians.
ОтветитьRefrain from embarking on a debate with him when your vision of the mastered end product diverges, particularly if you possess certainty in the accuracy of your perspective.
It exemplifies how one can transform three button presses and two switch settings into cash through an adorned expression, akin to that of a politician. Ultimately, he emerges as an exceptional salesperson.
Thanks im finishing up my bachelors degree at The Los Angeles Film School this was very helpful!
ОтветитьThe songs i replay the most have been mastered well. Like its very easy to get frequency fatigued or space fatigued because the producer doesn't do simple things to give a track room because sometimes if its hot its hot! it will get mixed and mastered later but you can make poor sound quality sound better or stop clashing. But when you give elements their own space its so much easier to listen to over and over as a consumer of music.
ОтветитьFrom the first switch on it was really wow, so much warmth and smooth sound. Amazing work!
ОтветитьGOAT
Ответитьman said a whole lotta NOTHING
ОтветитьLOL. BULLSHIT!
ОтветитьYou know that it’s total bs, when the say, depth of field. Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate the artistry. But at the same time….. depth of field
Ответитьfirst 4.5 minutes not really worth watching
ОтветитьWhen I hear all this I understand that my home mixes must sound like a big turd. lol.
