The Making of Robocop (1987)

Perfection

Something I always got a kick out of is that, in a sense, RoboCop was an inverted Terminator in that the Terminator is a robot inside of the human shell, while Robo is a robot with the human inside. And, through the Terminator film, he starts human (appearance-wise, at least) and ends up all robot, but RoboCop, once he was created, started pretty much all machine, and as the film progressed became more human. Very interesting dichotomy. 😉

"People were aggressively unpleasant" shows Paul Verhoeven screaming. 😂

I hope everyone involved knows that the misery and suffering they went through to make this so many years ago was absolutely worth it. Everybody had doubts about it being too silly or stupid or hard to shoot, but in the end, it's one of the greatest movies ever made.

What a masterpiece classic this movie is!

God in Heaven, the man later became Darkseid and Sam Fisher, imagine he was ROBOCOP before either of those.
Also wow, they tried using manga as an inspiration for the suit? May not have worked out that way, but the fact that was an option IN THE 80'S before manga and anime took off in the West was crazy. ...Oh. They still used that for ED. Awesome.
