I'm a Brit living in Taiwan so sometimes the US jargon is over my head but most of my investments are in US based stocks & you guys always give a rational balanced calm headed approach to investing. So glad to have found you!

Lance, look at the yen (ycl) spike Tuesday night and then drop. It’s close to the spike we had in July before meltdowns started. I saw it right before after hours closed Tuesday and doubled my shorts, closed out TQQQ positions and made VXX 15% of my account. There is something bigger going on under the surface. Check out the yen. Thank you for all your work on the show.

The FED is just responding to their assessment of Trump's announced policies which are inflationary. No surprise here nor the chaos he's already creating with the Federal Budget.

I have been confused about future rates. This video is the most logical level headed discussion about rates that I have heard. Thank you!!!!!!!

Here in the UK the new leftist party, which i dod not vote for, has come in talking the economy down and raising taxes everywhere. We are now seeing the negative expectations feed into the data and hiring is reducing....so i sold TLT and bought GTL at about the right time to avoid the sudden drop we saw a few weeks ago. Unfortunately inflation here is still a bit sticky and so the yield is continuing to rise. Worse the BoE just held rates still. All the data is negative except inflation i think we are going to get smashed next year when the tax rises bite and the refinance wall hits.

So, these guys think it’s ok that the government cooks the books, lies about everything, prints trillions upon trillions of dollars that devalues the currency, making everything more expensive and blasts inflation up? Listening to this, it sounds like these guys believe the government drives the economy. Now, I will say that the government has artificially inflated growth in this country. Just like almost all job growth over the past 4 years has been artificially inflated by the government creating unnecessary government jobs. But, I would never say that is somehow good. I would say that is the problem!
The future growth of the American economy will be in the private sector. Not government deficit spending. All the problems with our economic policies, are clearly because our government listens to guys like this. Even with this economic lunacy, our private sector is still attractive enough to make America the only country where people want to start a business or invest. Especially in the technology sector.
One other thing. These guys say that we are still in the government spending hangover. Then why is it that most of the growth of the 2024 market came from foreign investors?? Like a trillion dollars worth!! Is that just all the dollars we sent out coming home to roost? Or is that just good investment in a nation that has a positive future?

High Fed rates will not create a depression. We've had higher rates in the past. Let the economy reset so we can create a sane economy afterward. Stop the free money. We either need deflation, or massively higher wages. The current trajectory cannot continue.

We live in a very small home 1300 sf in Ca. I almost fell over getting a roof estimate. $17k for a reg not anything special shingle!! And that's not the price while there's a possibility that materials can go up while we are put on a list for June 2025. This is ridiculous!
