I’m going to measure weight in Jeremy Clarksons instead of pounds from now on 😂😂
Ответитьim not done watching the video but i work in the autoparts industry and i sell brake boosters all the time but never really understood how that worked. ive never had one fail on me so ive never needed to replace it. immediately after the "inside the brake booster" segment i thought about what would happen when they failed. now understanding how the vacuum increases the braking pressure, it stands to reason that a symptom of a failed brake booster would be an extremely stiff pedal, which i've experienced while pressing the brake with the engine off. now that i actually understand how they work, i'll both be able to assist customers who experience this symptom, as well as diagnose the issue myself if and when a brake booster goes bad on me. no, i don't think i mind these extra talking segments one bit :)
ОтветитьBut first, Let’s talk about brakes! 😂🤪🥰😇
ОтветитьYou have issues.😂🤣😅😆😅🤣🥁
ОтветитьHAHA... great stuff.
ОтветитьBMW i4 that I have uses brake by wire. Freaks me out sometimes but I’m used to not having a direct mechanical linkage to slow me the f down.
Ответитьfor the algorithm
Ответить👍Thanks for the chuckles. Well done.
ОтветитьNow THAT's the content I subscribed for
ОтветитьHoly cow! I wish I had known about this before I fitted a TEVES 2 electroboost into my 61 Falcon. There are no reservoirs which fit my application.
ОтветитьSubbed. Fast forward to 14.05 sec to find the only 5 seconds of relevant information.
ОтветитьDo you know the effective boost ratio for the iBooster in failsafe mode?
ОтветитьThis was absolutely hilarious, thanks for the comedy!
Ответитьlol the commitment to the bit is impressive
ОтветитьIf people got mad at this… wait until they hear about the ham sandwich 😅
ОтветитьCheck out the braking System on the Audi eTron. No contact between brake pedal and brakes, only in emergency fallback mode you get a physical connection.
All that in one box.
The result is perfect, seemless blending of regen to friction brakes.
Time runs say hello to the C8 Corvette with BBW
Ответить12 points for the drum gag.
ОтветитьPlease never stop making videos. Thank you.
ОтветитьHmm. perhaps you could use a brake booster from a diesel truck or car seeing as they do not have the vacuum of a car.
ОтветитьTried to press the like button something like three or four times through the length of the video. Touché...
ОтветитьThis vid is the best bit ever
ОтветитьAll hail the bigass spring
Ответить😂
Ответитьhow you dont have your own TV comedy show is beyond me. i am officially requesting adoption. where have you been all my life? drumset had me in stitches!
i finally found the final endboss of sarcasm and humble ask that you show me the way. 😂
the slow drag off the drumset towards the end has me rolling on the floor
ОтветитьAs Bosch Engineer working on iBoosters everyday I approve this message and everything stated in this video. Especially the "don't take the sonsor out of the booster part".
And I really flinched when you opened up the boosters ... are you also not reading my TCD and all the guidelines ... come on man. :)
Brilliant video as always.
Holy shit, i now understand this. i now know, why the brake pedal gets hard if you press it a few times after you turn the engine off.
amazing
that would've been so funny if you used the blooper reel for that joke 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI worked on the pre-assembly line of the motor unit during an internship a few years ago. Managed a project to drive the cycle time form 15s to 13s
Also did some supporting research for a "fast cure" process, you can see a little drop of glue between the motor and its ECU. Thats a UV activated glue, curing very fast but noch strong enough for the automotive environment. The "main" glue is actually deeper in the groove and all the way around, attaching the motor to the ECU and sealing the connection from the elements. The main glue needed this giant oven to cure in a reasonable time, but couldnt speed up anymore. So there was this idea to use the UV glue to fix it in place, withstand the forces of the production line and allow the main glue to cure over time.
Never knew if they completed that project so super cool to see :)
Ironically enough, Lucas at one point made high quality equipment but the management team got rid of all the 'non core' things and hollowed out the workforce.
Ответитьproject binky level humor
ОтветитьBut first lets talk about back in historical history times. . lmao. 😅
ОтветитьI really appreciate that this video didn't have the usual filler.
ОтветитьGreat video
Ответить🤣🤣🤣 great video bro
ОтветитьI loooove these videos
ОтветитьMe looking for master cylinder solutions for my project car and then click on your channel and go “oh you’re the off road viper guy!!!” I’m in the right place.
ОтветитьIt's nice to know and very comforting to have a FUSE in line with the Braking System.
It's also convenient when wanting to boobytrap a car without cutting the brake lines.
Congratulations, Matt, on your channel growth. Your content is varied, presented professionally, and relevant. The electric assist Bosch booster is intriguing to me. I have a 1968 Polara 9 passenger wagon that has Wilwood 14"/6 piston on the front, 13"/4 piston on the rear, their MC with vacuum booster. The braking on the car is really good, but it drives me crazy that I can't lock up the brakes. I've heard that the Bosch setup will change that. Any opinion?
ОтветитьOh we're doing the info graphic........hahaha
ОтветитьI now remember why I check your channel every once & a while; It kinda relieving to confirm I don't suffer from ADHD & can follow your train of thoughts all over the random distracting action. On the other hand, please consider that some of your audience may suffer from ADD/ADHD 😉
ОтветитьThat's interesting and convenient.
I however run hydro boost brake boosters to keep my stuff simple and mechanical.
i saw the e-booster has so many failure mode.
ОтветитьI used to own an old MGB and a TR6. I've told that joke a thousand times.
But, you sir, have surpassed all expectations with the drum kit bit!
I'm cry-laughing!!
Looks like a bunch of appliance parts , likely all available at Grainger .
Love the little Elon on phone .
Great brake boost tutorial .
And Tepid beer joke . I smelled the coming drum roll as it developed, well played .
Love the off brand part solutions , outboard maker use same manufacturer for common parts but simply change wire color on occasion .
I’ve found Bosch fuel pump like from my 90s gm truck tank put inside a carb bowl and plastic float sold as a Fuel injection control unit . The thing was steel so imagine when water got in the ethanol gas supply…..
This video will be needed when batteries get light enough to make ev conversion of gas vehicles. Thanx for sharing.
You totally bulls-eye my sense of humor and irony. And shirts.
