African Pride tried to own the wording African Pride but that insanity was stopped in court.
Shea Mositure was sold to large corporation and first thing they do is alcohol to undermine all benefits to Black hair.

This list is much appreciated. However, continue to research these brands, as some like shea moisture, have since “scaled up” to larger corporate buyers altering the foundation of the company as well as ingredients in the products.

We as people of colour don’t own anything. We are still owned by someone else. I am not saying we can’t appear to hold large amounts of money and property, but when someone else owns you and you appear to hold something of value. The group of people who own you, owns everything that you say you own, so in reality you own absolutely nothing. As for the northern hemisphere chattel slavery never ended, it was transferred and transformed in into a modern chattel slavery system in which you are no longer physically, chained and bound, but there is now a psychological and physical confinement through economics, education, religion, labor, entertainment, sex, politics and war. This new modern chattel slavery system is called the local and global government of the system of racism( white supremacy). The most powerful business, ideology, scientific, political and religious system on the entire planet that system of racism (white supremacy). We are all subjects, as the non-white people of the world to this artificial man-made construct, that operates 24 hours day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year non-stop. So in closing, we are prisoners of war and we own absolutely nothing!

The sad news is that several of these companies that started Black sold out to non-Black corporation giants, who have no interest in Black humanity, except dollars. Why do they sell their companies instead of building generational wealth like the corporations which buy them? Black wealth goes to those who disdain Blacks.
