⚡ What goal you will be focusing on in 2024? Let me know in the comments below so I can make videos that can help you along the way! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
ОтветитьYou know that this can be applied to most of the life situations not just music.
Thank You for that nice steps, some of US here will need it 🙂
All best in new year 👌👌🤭🤭💪💪
Love this video :) 😍🥰
ОтветитьAmen 🙏🏼🙏🏼 great advice
Ответить"it's better to sound good than original, because only then can you sound good and original", what a truth bomb! Awesome stuff!
ОтветитьThanks 🙏🏼 great summarizing lessons coming from a successful producer.
ОтветитьI "wrote" my first song. I'm so noobish I don't even know if one could call it that, but it's the closest I've been to... the thing, so far.
Spent some renewed time finding an entrance into theory that would stick for me, and I did. So I came up with a very simple progression from A minor and filled it in melodically to help guide the lyrics I was writing.
Took me long enough to finally get to this phase, noobish or not, but wow... This is fun. Can't believe it took me so long to just take the somewhat normal approach. Hoping this will give a more natural flow to my learning process. Still much to learn, but now at least I know where I want to go.
Here's hoping the sky won't fall on our heads in 2024!
Exactly what I needed, exactly today.
ОтветитьI am so glad I stabled upon this video!
ОтветитьI always thought that I didn’t have enough knowledge to produce music. It's time to change this and learn.😊
Ответитьlove your videos. i would love to see an Enrico Sangiuliano - Glitch in Time or Physical Change ableton remake video. loved the last one with Symbiosis.
ОтветитьI’ve been producing for about 5 years. Sticking with one genre has probably been my biggest issue.. Granted, I’ve made some stuff in different genres that I really like, but I definitely don’t have my own sound.
My approach is currently create a synth loop at whatever tempo and then make whatever genre that loop sounds like.
I rarely listen to a genre for an extended period of time, I feel like I have musical ADD.
I’m going to try one genre for 6 months.
How did people chose their genre? Was it obvious or did you just choose one that you kind of like?
Duskus, Fred Again, Ross From Friends are probably my favourite electronic artists so “fuck it” I’m going with that vibe.
It‘s a shame that I‘ve distanced myself from EDM for now and most of your videos aren’t as relevant for me as they were earlier.
I hope you‘re still around when I focus on my true love future bass again, because I love your personality and uplifting spirit so much. Take care, Will.
willi, make a tutorial of Electroclash Frank Sinatra from Miss Kitten is a good example
ОтветитьA great quote to echo Lesson 3:
"whether you say you can, or you can't, you're right" - Henry Ford.
This is solid advice. I have the problem that I might jump between genres sometimes. But I think I have landed around house, progressive house and space house.... and Trance! 😁
ОтветитьThis is so incredibly insightful. I spent decades believing I couldn't succeed at music and this led to deep depression. Much of this stemmed (pun intended) from my parents not supporting my passion for music. After some great counseling and life reorganization, I am back at music with fresh ears and without the expectations I'd been crushing myself with. I've been taking courses on mixing and using my past as a springboard to new directions. At 52, I still feel like a total novice at this stuff, but I'm having a blast and your channel gives me so much inspiration to get better. Thank you!
ОтветитьSuper helpful! Thanks for posting.
ОтветитьWell said.
ОтветитьSuch an inspiration. Thank you Will ❤
ОтветитьIn terms of recreation of sounds using reference tracks from my personal Sensei, I realize that it is not that easy. I've been trying to recreate my Sensei's pluck sound for three months and I'm failing. As a result, I've been stuck in a dead end with my track for three months. This is frustrating if you've already tried Serum, Sylenth1, Diva, Omnisphere. It doesn't sound anything like my Sensei's pluck sound and it doesn't sound good either.
I've only been producing for about 10 months. During that time I produced 6 tracks. But since I've been trying to recreate sounds from my two senseis, I can't finish a track anymore.
If you worked with a new student every day it would take 28 years to reach 10,000 producers.
Ответитьdo i have to be 18 to sign up for this?
ОтветитьNice tips! Too late for myself with one of them, I like a lot of genres and I don’t like to quit what Ive started so gonna release them anyway as my first album lol after that, will just focus on one genre, it’s only been a year or so for me, so I’m trying not to have any regrets, what I produce may be bad, but I guess it’s all a part of the learning and growing process 😅 looking forward to finishing this experimental/breakcore/hardcore/terror/speedcore/dnb album
ОтветитьGreat video and super great tips 🔥
ОтветитьGreat video Will, enjoying your channel its really inspirational ❤
ОтветитьTips for mixing in mono (apart from sound selection) , improving a mix in mono. Many thanks Will and Happy New Year 🎉, Micky 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Ответить👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😎
ОтветитьYou are amazing. God bless you
ОтветитьThis is exactly the kind of motivational new year's speech I needed. Thank you very much and happy new year! 😊
ОтветитьGood video you little scamp!
Ответитьgood job you don't work in hydrology :)
ОтветитьThank you, great tips! So sad that in my country no courses and coaches like you.
ОтветитьGreat video and great advices! ♥
ОтветитьI am a bit worried quantity beats the quality.
ОтветитьI've learned myself - techno is great to listen to but not to produce. I prefer to create other genres (electro, BBoy music, breakdance) 😆🤣
Thanks for video and happy new year 🎆🎇🧨
So inspiring, Will. Thank you.
ОтветитьOk, to be honest, I coached no one and suck at music production. But I've learned an important lesson, french fries and chicken are delicious 😂🤣😂
Sorry Will 😂 And thanks for all the great content in 2023, really enjoyed it. Wish you an insanely brilliant 2024 ❤

ОтветитьPure gold - amazing of you to share this with us all! A big thank you, a happy new year and hope to see you on your course in 2024!!!!
Ответитьthe video you refer is not showing around 9min
ОтветитьI'm back in the saddle ❤music and I have a broad range I need to structure and break down so all will help any links to send tracks
ОтветитьThx a lot! really helpful! Really hope can have more advices about releasing music and send demo to labels!
ОтветитьHi Will, exactly what I needed to hear (again)! I'm enrolled in your Accelerator course and it's the best investment I could have made. The one thing holding me back as I am doing the course is, as always, me for all the reaons you describe in this video. But I am slowly managing to take on board your advice: use reference tracks, focus on one genre for the course duration, focus (for now) on being good rather than original. Thanks for making this video and I look forward to continuing the course and being taught by you and Nick in 2024.
