0/10 ah yes my adapter isnt working? i should just make sure its not a hdmi... THATS SO OBVIOUS i cant connect to my monitor and this is the recommendations.

for some reason it doesn’t work because the cable is Unidirectional it will only show signal if you connect from your PC/Laptop DP to your Monitor HDMI port, but it will not show any signal if you connect your PC/Laptop HDMI to your Monitor DP.

Monitor works on my PC but not on my brother's laptop but laptop works HDMI to hdmi

I select hdmi then monitor restart but it Again show vga. Please help.

I freshly installed windows 11 on my thinkpad, and it is not connecting to the monitor. Do I need to install a driver or something? It is a thinkpad T420.

This tutorial is trash. Have you tried switching it on/off, are you sure you have the converter, great thats all this video says.

this works when i unplug my monitor but why?? because when i use a normal hdmi cable it doesnt have this problem
