I'm reading Tom Doyle's excellent biography of Kate at the moment. There's a chapter on this video. Apparently Donald Sutherland initially declined the invitation to appear in the video. So Kate found out what hotel he was staying at and went round and knocked on his door and persuaded him to do it. Two of my favourite artists.

This song is about cloud busting, something many people have started to do again, we have picked up right where wilhelm reich left off. No. I'm not here now because of any shows or something like that. But because of the legendary Kate :) And because I still enjoy listening to her great songs and masterpieces nearly 40 years now. Of course I also remember this great song when it hit the charts in the last quarter of 1985. And when I saw the video then and then immediately saw and recognized Donald Sutherland, I was really amazed. At first I even thought that these were excerpts from a feature film xD

i remember the first time i heard kate bush, and it was in 1986 and wbcn in boston played running up that hill and wuthering heights in that order. we were on rte 9 passing mcdonalds by oak street in natick. its a very solid memory in my mind and it has never left me.
