A question i hoped to be answered was how to buy a wireless headset you can use for both gaming and voice comms

The bluetooth headset i use has good audio when the mic isn't being used, however if i try to speak and listen to the game then the quality drop is unnacaptable and unusable

A really good wireless headset has something like 25ms of latency. Any crap analog headset has 0ms of latency.

Wireless cons:
- limited by battery
- latency
- price
- less sound quality.

Wired cons:
- wires

Wired is better for gaming because no matter how much expensive your wireless headset is it will always have a little delay than a wired headset of the same price

Also remember if you have a wireless mouse or anyother wireless device using 2.4ghz note that devices being close to eachother tend to cause latency or data innacuracy because of competing signals so I would consider what other devised you are using.

Wired will always be better for gaming headsets. I play on pc and I have both a wired and wireless headset and if you play games like csgo and valorant the small latency difference matters a lot. I can feel how much more smooth it feels when I use wired rather than wireless. If you play competitive games I recommend using wired gaming headsets trust me you’ll thank me .

I have had both but wired is better. The wire isn’t even annoying on mine. The quality is better. It last longer. You don’t have to worry about the battery dying. My friends complained about my wireless headset and said the connection was bad and sometimes I had issues connecting and hearing. I never heard any of that with wired. Only pro some with wired is sometimes there is no jack or the wire may break but there is almost always a paper and my wire is very strong. You would have to go out of your way to break it.

The reason why I don't use wireless it's because of the wired better latency and offset especially in Rhythm games

wireless is better for me because wired headphones can break easy if your not careful the cords can get ruined and it sucks :(

First of all, even non-audiophiles with good ears will hear a noticable difference... Then theres also the question, what types of games are being played? One how primary plays competitiv ego-shooters must stick to a wired headset, because the better audio quality, and noticable better frequency-range make it easier to spot enemy steps. I tried 4 different wireless Headsets, the cheapest starting at 150€ (sony) to highest 330€ (sennheiser & Astro), and they were "acceptable" at best, in terms of sound quality & mic quality... while the Sony was total ear-cancer, which is a joke for 200€ on launch day :/ Then i found the beyerdynamic MMX 300 2. Gen, and added a sound-card to my consoles and the PC (onboard stinks), ... and bam ... i am totally blown away. Best sound ive ever heard/experienced over headphones or headsets, and its mic is on broadcasting quality, really good... plus even by default and without a soundcard the MMX 300 2. Gen is a beast. PS: Sadly a little to quiet by default, even the 32 Ohm Version, and it needs a soundcard with amp to really shine <3

But, what about the latency?
I don't want to use some expensive wireless headset but have even a millisecond of latency! It'll mess up my rhythm games!

I just use a pair of cheap and of good quality wired headsets and earphones, and just tune the sound to my liking through phones eq and optimization. Sadly eq mostly wasn't supported on bluetooth headsets.
