I believe Exodia could defeat Zorc it's just that he's bound to Solomon who let's be honest isn't exactly in his prime anymore, and can't handle the strain the magic of the Millennium Key puts on your body and soul like he could in his youth.

This was a powerful moment in the yugioh fandom. Exodia was the end all be all and to watch him fall was pretty hard to see

Nothing in Yugioh will ever be as cool as the sets of 3; the Egyptian God Cards, The Sacred Beasts, and the Dragon-Knight things (Legendary Dragons? Nameless Dragons? They were never exactly clear on the name. It was Fang of Critias, Eye of Timeaus, and Claw of Hermos) and idc if Exodia is technically an instant win, in my head canon, the Egyptian God Cards are stronger (it's something I decided around 18-20 years ago, and im not changing my mind)

That said, Exodia is absolutely cool as all hell

I feel like if the old man had let the others use their millenium items to send Exodia their power, Exodia would have totally been strong enough to destroy Zorc. He said it himself, Exodia only drew power from a single old man, and it posed a threat. With five or more people giving it strength it likely would have won.

I kinda like Solomon or his ancestor was the one to summon and use Exodia. Because that was HIS boss monster. His deck revolves around getting all five pieces. Yugi also didn’t use his deck originally against Kaiba, it was his grandpa’s.

I love exodia! fyi did you know that the eyptian god cards are not gods in the anime just avatars, shown in the last fight with zorc which The god Ra was summoned in his most Op form which is shown as the creator of light.

Even if Exodia didn't draw his energy from the old man but instead Atem himself, Exodia would go on battling Zorc forever beacuse Zorc can't be destroyed by DARK type monsters since he's the embodiment of dark itself

I imagine it's kinda like pokemon, the monster hates you until you capture it then it becomes your friend but this would mean that he somehow pacified exodia or forced him to submit to him and neither situation seems very likely

It's moments like these that awakened the child in me. First time I saw this again after all those years all I could see is a young Kaiba terrified of how it was summoned. Then there's the Egyptian Gods vs Zorc. It's the nostalgia craze that hits harder than most.

For those who don't know, this was different in the manga. In the manga version, Zorc invades with a massive army of undead and demons. Bigger than anything than Egypt has fought before. It covers the sky. Everytime they destroy one of Zorc's monsters, it instantly regenerates. They lose hope and city is about to fall.

Shimon then gets his millienium key, calls forth the Sealed God Exodia. The God Exodia Tablets are located right next to the Egyptian god tablets in the temple (which confirms that Exodia is also a god monster). Everyone calls Exodia a god monster.

God Exodia is summoned by Shimon. He commands Exodia to destroy the entire enemy army. In a single bright energy blast, Exodia destroys Zorc's entire army in a single shot. Exodia's power prevents them from regenerating. They are gone for good. Only Zorc remains and he is angry.

Shimon is tired from the effort. He is old and doesn't have much strength. He orders exodia to fire a 2nd blast at Zorc directly but Shimon doesn't have enough life force to fully power Exodia and left and can't finish off Zorc.

Zorc fires back and Exodia takes the hit. Shimon coughs up blood and says he doesn't have the strength he used to have when he was young. Shimon then collapses, Shimon apologizes for his weakness, and Exodia disappears.

I guess the anime studio didn't have the budget to animate Zorc's huge demon army. So they made this version instead.
