The catch fence wasn't perfect, but if it had not been there...
ОтветитьSo glad you agree! Your opinion means everything. 😂 NASCAR has self imploded and they are to ignorant to realize that pack racing has caused more accident and probably lead to the death of Dale Sr. It changed nothing! Many retaining fences have been taken out since this knee jerk reaction from NASCAR!
ОтветитьIt’s funny how Allison looks like the Pillsbury Dough Boy in his racing suit compared to F1 drivers. They found a pack of Red Man Plug on the floor of his car also.
ОтветитьNothing has gone faster then Nanny NASCAR going down the tubes!
Ответить100x better in the eighties!
ОтветитьHow can an engine explosion changed nascar cup series forever...
ОтветитьBobby Allison's worst race of his career was at Pocono back it 1988. IT ENDED HIS CAREER.
ОтветитьYea. Well restrictor plate racing is dangerous. Dale Earnhardt died as a result of it. Look at all the wrecks since 1988. Not a solution to the problem. 1988 Richard Petty crash. One of the worst crashes i have ever seen
ОтветитьY'all suck, racing is speed. I could be the slowest racer oof all time, just never show up. Speed is what it's all about.
ОтветитьIt was a lot better in the 50s 60s 70s and 80s and 90s now it’s a big fucking joke
ОтветитьNascar needs to go back to "STOCK" cars. All of these cars they run now are nearly identical, and are nohing like a stock production car. I enjoy watching Cleetus and cars Crown Vic racing more. Those cars are identical with all the factory options like ac, power steering, power brakes, etc and they require much more driver skill to handle them in a race.
ОтветитьUm, the Daytona race with Bodine’s wreck was run without a restricter plate. The trucks didn’t run them at the time. So yeah comment about how much worse the wreck would have been without a plate was answered. They didn’t have one.
ОтветитьNo interest in the video. I was still a NASCAR enthusiast in the 80s. I just wanted to read the comments for entertainment. If NASCAR goes the way of the Dodo bird, I'll just consider it another "stage".
ОтветитьGoing to car races were absolutely awesome in the 70s & 80s
Ответитьtthe punk asss kids today dont have the tallent to run 212 miles per hour.the guy who lost his eye also had a lugg nut impel into his stomache tha had to be removed.from what i understand he was quit a character an when his eye healed up it was sowed shut so he had a eye ball tattoed on his eye lid
ОтветитьIn the 1980's Nascar was almost as fast as Indy cars!!!
ОтветитьIf they would have had roof vents at that time they may have been different. Racing evolution
ОтветитьWhy not just build a bigger and stronger fence? Isnt that the most obvious solution?
ОтветитьWe are too soft! Real men & fans will risk death for adrenalin pumping excitement, I say take down those silly safety fences, & cowardly restrictor plates and let real men be men, not sissy's cringing behind fences! Drivers take risks, so should non sissy fans!
ОтветитьThis was the worst from NASCAR?! Wt... Wasting my time, go watch some F1, US stupidos...
ОтветитьThe crash that ended racing. The man is gone.
ОтветитьSeems like the obvious solution is to keep people far enough away from all that nonsense, and maybe put a big plexiglass shield behind the fence to catch any fast moving shrapnel.
ОтветитьAustin Dillon
ОтветитьIf that fence would have failed it would have been the end of NASCAR.
ОтветитьTo run nascar at Indy, they raised the wall 24” and removed several rows of seating! The answer was not cutting power it was reconfiguring the turns and softer barriers. A longer turn makes the turn in less steep and reduces the angle of impact, the steeper angle of impact killed #3
ОтветитьRacing, attending racing, its dangerous. Stay alert, and be prepared. Never be scared. Good luck, enjoy the race!
ОтветитьNascar is so boring. Unskilled drivers driving in a circle is stupid. Of course you couldn't let these losers on a real race track. But why let morons drive in circles waiting for accidents?
ОтветитьNice solution! Fans can't get injured if the bleachers are empty!
ОтветитьBobby Allison hit was harder at Pocono it almost killed him
ОтветитьToday anyone can be a NASCAR driver.
Ответитьyay we back going around 190-195 mph so it isn't too slow for me
Ответить1988 Daytona 500 was when the restrictor plate was first used "For safety reasons." I was there when Richard Petty tore out the fence like Allison did. We were about 30 rows up from were he tore out fence. How come you didn't mention that?????
ОтветитьPut helmets on the fans 👍
ОтветитьС удовольствием смотрю ваши ролики
ОтветитьWhy don't they build SAFER tracks? Or is that too obvious?
ОтветитьHoly Moses and crap I'm surprised he didn't blow up the world and his CAR AM I RIGHT !
ОтветитьThey've been a lot of bad wrecks at superspeedways I mean that one is up there but I've seen worse Ryan Newman was probably worse I sell Tony Stewart get into a bad one Austin Dillon was bad but I'm going to tell you Rusty Wallace was pretty bad but the one that sticks out in my mind was Earnhardt at Talladega 1996 he was literally going backwards 200 mph and went airborne
ОтветитьIt's not the speed of the car it's the lack of safety fencing
ОтветитьNASCAR today is boring and like watching Golf . It will put you to sleep . I can't watch it now .
ОтветитьAgain, woosifying sports.
ОтветитьI have never missed a Talladega race dating back to MRN carrying the inaugural September/1969 race, won by a Chrysler Wing Car. Still to this day, Allison climbing the wall and tearing down 150 feet of fence is the most horrifying thing I've seen. Thru the mists of time, people seem to have forgotten that he was inches away from killing hundreds if not 1000 or more people and putting an end to stock car racing in America forever.
ОтветитьNot a huge NASCAR fan but I believe the flaps on top of the cars to keep them from becoming airborne have played a big role as well in terms of driver and fan safety.
ОтветитьWhy didn’t they just put another taller catch fence up in front of the stands?
ОтветитьWhy didn’t they just put another taller catch fence up in front of the stands?
ОтветитьWhen Dale Earnhardt died at Daytona his son, DalecJr. Went on to place second.
What irony.
Everything in the 80's seemed better.
ОтветитьDude commentator, stop misusing the word whenever. Please?
ОтветитьWhen I saw that tire flow towards the grandstand at Indy this year, I thought that might be the end of racing as we know it.
ОтветитьThis guy really has no idea what he's talking about. They didn't change the size of the carburetor, they installed restrictor plates between the carburetor and the intake manifold to reduce the amount of the air/fuel flow mixture going to the cylinders.
ОтветитьLooked like the right rear tire blew, not the engine.
Ответить
