Now we're getting some where, how about a uncoated blade. Really like the action, very snappy.
ОтветитьAwesome zel VerY nice
Ответитьyou are a Todd. Todd Knife and Tool is family?
Ответитьi like the blade shape of this one better than the other smaller one but nothing else. the other one looks more refined.... but looking past that as this is a prototype tho. not a fan of the blood grove or the holes in the blade either. the blade hole to middle finger flick it, is a good idea tho, just doesnt look great. id be fine with the blade from the XL with zero blood grove and the scales from the standard version.
tried to give feedback, but im probably not the customer target for this tho. sorry if its offensive. you guys should get some input from Nick Shabazz to make it a gem.
would you ever sell that?
ОтветитьThat sucker is nice! Great design!!
ОтветитьLove the details on the scales! As I think I said on the Rapter, I prefer a full flat grind. I do like the slot for smooth deployment though. I also prefer a smallish knife, like a three inch blade and four inch scales. (I have small hands...)
ОтветитьSome impressive handle scales there. Excellent choice for the lanyard hole!
Ответитьwow, that thing is so bad ass, love it!
ОтветитьVery smart design elements that look great and let it function better too. Great work!
ОтветитьLet me start with some positives, love the over all shape of the blade and handle. However, you have to lose the raw milling finish, the mill lines are not consistent and makes the handles look like they are not finished. Go with satin, stonewashed, or bead blast in the milled out areas. Not sure that small hole needs to be there but not necessarily a deal breaker. The deal breaker for me is a lack of a properly executed sharpening choil. I've made this comment before and you appear to be resistant to the idea which leaves me scratching my head a bit as you are familiar with sharpening your own knives. It's inevitable that anyone sharpening that knife without a proper choil will eventually mare the bottom of the plunge grind with the sharpening stones trying to get the entire edge sharp. Simply softening the plunge grind does nothing to help as you would end up with a fat useless edge at the heal of the edge. Even a simple "V" notch would help. Think in the long term, as a quality knife should last long enough to hand down to your children. My two cents, again.
ОтветитьPersonally, I think the extra holes in the frames and the base of the blade detract some. Though there are many excellent knives without hardened steel lock bar inserts, they are no longer on my shopping list. I am right handed and I normally carry my handgun on my right side. Often, I carry a small fixed blade I can reach right or left handed, mounted laterally at 10 O'Clock on my belt. Anyway, I think a fixed blade variant of this knife would be more useful for those times it is needed, when you are otherwise distracted and unable to predict which hand will be available to get to the knife. Additionally, with the fixed blade variant, the draw and usage of the knife can be a single movement, starts with the proper grip, and in close quarters flipping blades to a fully locked position and gaining a proper grip can be problematic.
ОтветитьI really like some of what's going on with this knife, some very thoughtful and unique details. Personally I like the fuller, layered yet simple handle effect - and pocket clip - especially the way it disappears into the lines of the scales. LOL, you're still amateurs with the lint collector back spacer, some designers have this one down pat. They can pull fuzz and dog hair from other dimensions. Anyway, I can see some really nice customizing options for this, I'll look forward to seeing the production versions.
ОтветитьLike the wander tactical folding knife.......
ОтветитьI really like the fuller and that 90° edge there at the choil. I enjoy the fact you have a full choil. I like the end of the knife the way it is designed for reverse grip. I like the belly.
If possible it would be nice to shorten the clip a little but if you could make it look like a pen clip that would be great.
Keep a ricasso....where the sharpening choil would be, is not going to get caught in any material that we can't pull it out of. Keep the sharpening choil word should be... Have a sharpening choil, have a ricasso....keep it traditional... We like sharpening our Knives
