Three words: vendor lock in 🔒
ОтветитьIt's just someone else writing more reusable code
ОтветитьAn impressive video. Very well done.
ОтветитьI have notebooks front to back with ideas,
Just wrote my ideas and learned prototyping. Never learned to code
My grandkids be like :
I can't believe that u actually did write code
the bio tech companies that could potentially have a vaccine are also highly speculative. Imagine how much the first company to make the vaccine would be worth? Maybe trillions!
ОтветитьAs a developer, I am fine with low code. I think that there needs to be a better way of development than Wordpress. I also don't see low code taking more custom or difficult jobs soon and if they do well I'm planning on going off grid any ways so good luck to those following the rat race :D

ОтветитьPlz keep tech news coming
ОтветитьMakes me wondering... did developers behind NO CODE actually used drag-n-drop to build all the fancy user friendly features instead of coding?
Ответитьnice headphones, and I also am very appreciative of the music being just at the right volume
ОтветитьI hate these graphic tools, they are too graphical
ОтветитьThis begs the questions - how will “no code” affect software engineering based jobs, and what will the timeline be?
I’m planning on studying my Msc in Computer Science next year, and I was under the impression that this is the near future proof career path to follow... but now I don’t even know what the job outlook for the next 10-20 years will be! Perhaps I should stay in business development / tech sales! People skills after all ...
Using no-code solutions takes away any competitive advantage you could have had. Everyone else can make the same exact app with the same tools and apis.
Ответитьoh no im gonna lose my job, sike...
ОтветитьWhy do I feel shortcut is a longcut
Ответитьno code, basically you can't be bothered to code but ya still wanna act like a computer expert...
P.S. I do not know how to code
But... Does it scale?
ОтветитьI think no code sounds very interesting. It sounds a lot like the PlayStation game Dreams, which is a big toolbox that let's the players build their own games, music, etc. with it - without any code afaik!
I think it'll not interfere the advanced programmers job market that much. Similarly with Dreams it'll motivate and help ppl who cannot code to create simple to medium complex things. How complex it can get is ofc limited by the no code app. It will be like a whole new eco system on it's own.
It's like person A just needs a non-dynamic good looking website that can be build with wordpress Vs. person/company B that will hire a bunch of ppl because they need a much more complex website. Different needs require different skills
People with coding experience < 5 years: "This guy is my hero!!!"
People with coding experience >= 5 years: "The hell is this guy smoking?"
Amazing how 'no code' products are built using code.
That reminds me of a conversation I had read somewhere a few years. So the interview asks the interviewee:
What if we have computer programs that would write computer programs ? What would software engineers do then ?
And the person answered : software engineers will develop the computer programs that write the computer programs.
I used scratch by MIT once.
ОтветитьGreat Video Jack! Where do you get this information from? Is there a blog or tech newspaper that you read every day?
Keep the Great work! You made me regain my passion for coding and tech in general.
I use webflow and it's pretty dope. It's basically an interface for css properties which makes building up a whole site much faster. Although I have to say it's a bit limited when it comes to different device breakpoints, but in that case you can still embed some custom code.
ОтветитьSomeone : no code
Me : heresy
Wonderful idea. I'm sure it will be a big hit for those amateur web developers looking to gain real world experience and generate a little revenue for themselves. Next, we should figure out how to assemble vehicles without needing any actual experience in auto mechanics.
ОтветитьGreat video on an underrated topic
ОтветитьThen what will software developer, Web developer will do???
Ответитьlot of devs in denial about no code. It will impact the market dramatically just like cloud did to linux admins.
ОтветитьCore Devs and Software engineers and computer scientists won't be affected but it will produce a hard time for web dev
ОтветитьThanks for the Makerpad shoutout!
Ответить"No Code" aka "visual programming" is nice, but will always be a step below actual programming. It's an inherent issue with abstracted programming methods such as themselves.
It's good for basic tasks, though. I'll give it that.
This was your coolest room man! It just feels so cozy :3
Ответитьwriting code is not the hard part of building a successful web app. if you can't write a web app, I would be shocked if you could build what you want in some drag and drop platform. this isn't a movement, it's a marketing exercise.
ОтветитьGlad I found this channel! Your videos are so good!
ОтветитьClickbait title
ОтветитьNo Code look like it would be good for quick and easy prototyping, but beyond that your gonna need to know how it all works on a low level.
ОтветитьHere's the funny thing about no code. You can't do without code so you build templates for you tool. But wait it's cheaper to add mods and collect a percentage. That leads to us coders having more freedom by supporting a "no code" platform. It's an upsell.
ОтветитьWebflow also has 'Collections' which help to create built in databases and dynamic content..
ОтветитьYour voice gets really bassy when you talk close to the mic. For those of us using a sub it's really annoying
ОтветитьI have been using no code since when it was called WYSIWYG
ОтветитьCHOO CHOO No code train starting up all aboard!
ОтветитьWill no code will be famous in 2030
ОтветитьMy first experience with "no code" was while working as lead operator at the home office of a major retailer of women's underwear in the late eighties.
We got a new merchandising manager who asked to see the spreadsheets. He was appalled when presented with large books of grid paper with the figures written in.
First thing he did was get them all onto Lotus 1-2-3, then Lotus Symphony. When Microsoft Excel was released he jumped on that, but since it was only available on Macs he got them all Macs.
Eventually we had a rack of six PCs for merchandising in our computer room and while we ran a series of sales report programs on the AS/400 for the other departments, we just kicked off a big Excel macro that triggered macros on the other five PCs and generated all the reports the merchandising department needed.
The programs we ran on the AS/400 were written in RPG/400. RPG was the very first low-code 'anyone can program' programming language but it never quite worked out that way.
Excel macros, on the other hand gave 'average' users all the processing power they needed.
Canonic
ОтветитьDoes NO CODE actually mean the general public is not allowed to edit the code in any way?
Ответить
