Am I not the only person who is astonished at the level of destruction that they have in this scene and movie. I feel sympathy for these people; always getting earthquakes and drought; fires; volcanoes and now a hurricane

I must admit that watching LA be totally destroyed got me... aroused. A dream come true.

Most unrealistic (but still awesome) earthquake scene ever since Land Before Time 1. IIRC there's no empty abyss underneath a tectonic plate when the ground cracks, just layers and layers of rocks, dirt and mud. In fact it's more like a bunch of Dune Sandworms plowed up and ate everything underneath LA.

I remember i literally was shaking, had a pulse of 150/min and got a fever watching this scene in the cinemas. I have never experienced anything like this before on such a big screen, and i was already an adult at the time. Epic scene to this day.

If only airplanes could fly up instead of straight ahead...
