Nice video! I use sticks or twigs from the ground to hold down the runners. Eventually they will break down and add to the soil

This was awesome! I love strawberries so much! We bought a plant a couple months ago... I’m in Japan, my wife tells me it’s a new species of plant? (I dunno) it’s only given us 2 strawberries so far, but they where very sweet!
I can see long stems coming off it now, so I’m going to take a closer look in a few days, I’d like to think they are runners as I want to grow more and more of them, so this was super helpful to me, thank you 🙏

love your channel. I think I'm waiting too long to harvest? I grew strawberries from seed last year they have came up amazing again this year and i have loads of strawberries growing however some are rotting before they are ripe and some look so close to ripe but still green patches so I leave for another day or 2 and again they start to rott. Do i need to change the soil? or is there too many strawberries growing at one time, or should I pluck them before they fully red? fyi they are in a pot not ground.

you dont need a paper clip at all to control the runners, let the runner grow two daughters, then cut of the rest, wait for both to grow at least three one inch sized leaves and bury it into the soil (dont worry about sufficating it) then when it looks as if its big enough, just cut of the runner, a very cheap way to control your runners

When will strawberries give runners

Hi, this season i dont have so much strawberries and my goal is to produce as much as i can a new strawberries plants for next season.I will use every runner i can found so from one mother plant how many runners i can produce?I put them in the pot from mother plant and from the pot there is also a new runner which i will put in another pot too and whait to grow another runner and so on...I wonder how many runners i can produce like this in chains and not to do some damage, wrong thing... I heard it can connect 6 in a row from the mother plant and how long i can keep them conected before i cut the conections and make them separeted from others? After that how can i save them from winter and do i need to move them from old pot to a new pot with i new soil?

You can cut those runners off and just pot them for more plants. You are throwing away good plants.
