Academy Skills Lab | New Starter Skills Enhancement Program

New Starter Skills Enhancement Program (NSSEP) is a 5-day intensive training designed to give new starters the skills they need to be able to conduct their day to day roles in the community and bedded areas. It touches on Patient Holistic Assessment, National Early Warning Signs (NEWS2) + SBARD using A to E Assessment, Medicines Management, IV Administration, Venepuncture, Fluid and Nutrition Balance, Blood Glucose and Ketone Monitoring, Pressure Ulcer Management (short course), Catheterisation and Catheter Care , Skills and Drills and Clinical Simulations. All the participants are given peer feedback and one to one feedback from the trainers.
