How To Hit A Hybrid! (Must Watch)

Hi Everyone, What other clubs would you like a tutorial on?

I don't hate the 4 iron cause its hard to get speed. I hate it cause it would rather hit the earth's core than the goddamn ball rofl.

Good lesson - filled in some gaps in my understanding of how to hit this club. I need it!
What would you say about the lie? I think that in a rough you need to defer to the iron so you can "dig it out" of deeper grass. I handle my 3 iron that way. What do you think?

Why do I mostly pull my 5 Hybrid? Only club in the bag I almost consistently hit straight left. Ugh.

If they hit it like they hit their long irons then they will still hit them shitty

I gave up golf 20 years ago, and when I came back, everyone told me "dump your long irons! get a hybrid!". I tried, but a hybrid was a total fail for me, because the heavy swing weight caused the the clubhead to get ahead of my hands. On most shots I hit them fat or thin, but those were better than the ones where I made good contact. If I made good contact, the shots went low, left, and also hooked, leading to disastrous outcomes.

I finally gave up on hybrids, and I now 5 iron, 3 iron, and a 7 wood, and they all have comparable swing weights. I hit them all high and straight, and feel confident that I can hit a good shot with any of them.

Hi Giles ,,,am 61 years old and getting back to golf ,,,used to be off 12 but thta was years ago ,,,,well worse than that now!.....Am finding Hybrids a big help but never sure which degree to use ,,,any help would help ,,,,Really enjoy your tutorials
