Really wish i would've went with this over the '25 CX-70 PHEV Premium. The 8-speed transmission has been choppy at best (no TSB for it per the dealership or Mazda) and the brake noise is nearly unbearable. I don't need the extra room the 70 offers but they had over $12K in incentives which brought the cost down to a top-trim CX-50

We have top trim in red and it looks so expensive for what it cost.

Mazda looks cheap

Purchased a 2023 CX-9 GT with captains seats. 37k miles. It was one of the Mazda loaner cars so it was never personally owned and well maintained. Car drives like new and honestly only spent $26k total out the door. Financed 25k for 5 year loan. Just for the fun of it I checked trade in value and am able to easily get 27k trade in for it which makes me happy about its value. Came from a Honda Pilot and would like something a bit bigger since I have 3 teens but it’s so hard to find anything else within that price range and that much value. Feels like driving a nice luxury car but only paying half the price. Will definitely hold on to it for a while.

Another reason for this is Toyota salesmen are jerks, no deals, no test drives on a Rav4, get in line peasant. 😒

I'm ok (maybe prefer) a smaller infotainment screen, as long as i can get CarPlay. Much prefer a traditional gauge cluster too.

The Mazda is probably made in the same plant that it shares with Toyota

You can change the infotainment scren to touchscreen in the settings while you use your phone.

That’s a great steering wheel design. Don’t like how the beam rides, but hybrid weight helps over the gas only version.

The a/c vents makes the steering wheel look like Princess Leia 💀

Thanks, I appreciate your videos. Good car, but I like the CX-5 a little better, we currently own 2 CX-5 Signatures and I am looking forward to the next generation CX-5 Hybrid to eventually replace my 2019 CX-5 Signature. If I had to buy a hybrid now it would be the CX-50.

I agree that this car is a much better offer than any rav4 right now. It’s hard to justify the wait times for the rav4 when this car exists, arguably looks better, drives better, and is best of all, it’s in stock. Too bad this car is gonna be hard to get in the Canadian side due to the tariff situation.

Put this power train in the cx60 and bring it to the US, then we are talking.

No parking sensors, heated steering, or spare tire unless you get the Hybrid Premium? Nah. This is a huge miss by Mazda.

We picked one up for our daughter’s first car at the end of January. She loves it. Same hybrid drivetrain as our 2021 Highlander Hybrid. Toyota oil and engine air filters as well. It looks better, drives better, and it is AWD as well. It is a no brainer. So many people just do not know about it though.
