That same steak at Ruth Chris is like $100 I’d gladly visit the farmers dog any day of the week, anywho when the farmers are gone so is Britain.

As an American I feel like Clarkson is the real leader of the UK.

Its 2025 and everyone in the world had given in to higher prices… so 28pounds for local food sounds about right to keep a place running and not use his own money to keep it afloat. Remember business are in the market to make enough money to keep it open and pay its employees. He has said he doesn’t need the money he wants to give back and help the locals so stop bashing because you can be him.

28 pounds... I paid 34 pounds in an indian reaturant in oxford the other day. 28 for a fillet mignon is nothing.

That's low for filet minion even here in the states. The best price I've seen for that cut of meat here in the states is $32 and that's not even a center cut filet. Beef prices in the US are probably the highest they have been since the pandemic. Honestly I'm at the point where I would work on a cattle ranch for a month for a whole side of beef.

Don’t like the price. Don’t eat it. No one is forcing you to eat there. For those that would like to eat there and have the experience, then eat it. I’d go there in a heart beat. I thinking going out to eat is a treat so, I’ll treat myself to whatever I want to eat and pay.

tbh it isn't that expensive nowadays given what steak can cost especially that it's all reared food. I would say portion of veg could be better.
