the greatest of eternity
ОтветитьA shout out to Tommy Aldridge from the prof. I always loved Aldridge’s double bass style especially on the live Ozzy album Speak of the Devil.
ОтветитьThe professor....teaching us his craft .....
ОтветитьDamn, this is why he is the professor, Neil was a a God sent genius!!
ОтветитьRest in peace Neil play for God now
ОтветитьLove hearing Neil talk about stuff. Wish he and Bonham got to know each other and hang out. Maybe in heaven.
ОтветитьNeil Peart… my favourite drummer of ALL TIME….a very clever man and superb author.
Music lost a genius the day he left this earth..
God bless sir and thank you for giving me so many hours of enjoyment along with your RUSH band mates..👍
Those triplets were terrible. Completely off. This guy needs to practice a lot harder
Ответить“There’s no tempo. It’s really implied than stated.” This guy was so brilliant
ОтветитьThere will not be another Neil PEART
Ответить🙏
ОтветитьObviously he was a much better speaker, than a drummer. That "solo" in the end sounded like this was his first month, taking drum lessons. Absolutely horrible playing from a man who has played for decades.
Ответить👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьWhen I was in San Antonio, my friend and I hit a strip club the night before the Rush Snakes and Arrows show. The DJ at the strip club was a HUGE fan of Rush, playing the start of the drum solo at least once every half hour letting everyone know that Rush was playing the following night. Made me enjoy that weekend a little more.
Ответитьstill love your work!!
ОтветитьI wonder what Neil would say to Ginger Baker talkin shit on Bonham.. I thought it was ridiculous n arrogant... and I'd much rather listen to Bonham than Ginger any day of the week
ОтветитьOK 1st lesson, all I need now is 100k+ for this kit
ОтветитьBefore watching I just wanna say if the damn thing actually takes off and flies away…I will be unsurprised.
ОтветитьI will never forget the night I was up in the front row in Rochester NY having my internal organs rearranged thanks to Professor's drum solo. He was among the very best.
Ответить"There are no mistakes, just new parts" - Neil Peart channeling his inner Bob Ross
ОтветитьDrum Solo of Life!!
ОтветитьNeil isn't gone; he's in another time.
ОтветитьThe Professor
ОтветитьAccent is key to music!! In all instruments my belief- timing accent change
ОтветитьThe uniqueness of Neil Peart: his double-bass "triplets" are often not triplets at all; when all 4 notes are evenly spaced in the time occupied by a single eighth note, those are just straight 32nd notes. But sometimes he plays "hertas" between his hands and feet where the hands are 2 32nd note triplets and the feet are 2 16th note triplets, so though it is 4 notes, they're not evenly spaced and does include the 3 notes of a triplet (plus one other). Also, although he's right handed, he leads with his left foot, which results in a heavier 4th note of the pattern, which just sounds "different" than how most drummers plays what I like to call "oggada-oggadas". :-)
Ответитьsilly Neil, he referred to himself as only human. what a beautiful cat, miss him.
ОтветитьSmall wonder that the drumming world referred to him as THE Professor. No drummer in history was as precise and knowledgeable as Neil Peart. His drum fills and solos were legendary. He attacked the drums like they were the enemy. His crew simply said, "He hit hard," A gentleman, a scholar and a wonderful human being who overcame the loss of a wife and a daughter, he was loved by his fans and his peers. We will never see his like again. When he passed, the music stopped. Rest in Peace Neil Peart. You will be remembered.
ОтветитьNote: he's wearing oxford shoes with a heel.
ОтветитьDer Professor ist Tod.....😭😭😭
ОтветитьJust that easy.
ОтветитьNot even a hint of cockiness! What a demeanor for a guy who could be considered to be one of, if not the greatest drummer of all time! Thank you so much for some of the most moving drum grooves Neil Peart...
ОтветитьI was amazed that he played basically the same solo for so many years
ОтветитьRest in Peace sir! We miss you!
ОтветитьMotif
ОтветитьThink Peter criss had to play after this guy every night and neil and him were friends says alot about neil
ОтветитьThat guy is super duper genius
ОтветитьWow his vocal tember is identical to his sense of rhythm. But in only the most illuminated experience
ОтветитьI GOTS TO HAVE MORE COWBELL
ОтветитьI like pert shampoo
Ответитьawsome
ОтветитьHe meant momentum. RIP, Peart.
ОтветитьThe thing that always gets me about Neil is that if u listen to just how good he was and yet had this quiet humble confidence about him that could make any self professed rockstar look foolish by comparison. He was so good that Tom Sawyer and Limelight could have remained his apex, but no. He actually was so humble and respectful of his love of music and playing that he went and got lessons! If thats not a winning attitude that sets one well apart from others, I dont know what is. Though he is gone his legacy will always be in a class by itself. Peace and respect Sir.
ОтветитьIf neil peart isnt at the top of your alltime greatest list u need to check into rehab
ОтветитьWhat motherfuckers gave this a thumbs down u will get your kharma u douchbags
ОтветитьI still can’t believe he’s gone🥲
ОтветитьAnother great Canadian who died to soon.
ОтветитьA legend who gave back.
ОтветитьHe made it look so effortless.
Thank you for the many gifts you left behind. RIP Neil
