🤣🥰👍 I was 16 when this aired and had seen The Shining many times since age 5, I believe. Loved this episode but love it even more at age 45 😍😂🤪

Lack of cable TV drove Homer crazy, but then at the end, over the air (antenna) TV on a portable TV is enough to pacify him.

However, they show the back of the TV in the hotel (before they show the front of it with Homer trying to flip through cable TV channels and getting nothing) and that TV has rabbit ears on it. So he could have at least had over the air TV the whole time, and without nearly freezing to death in the snow!

Love the part where Homer scares himself

And an even funnier joke would have been another baseball bat. One to break the glass with, to get out the other bat.

Are we going to ignore the fact that Marge was able to carry Homer?

The only reason why Homer gone crazy because there's no beer and TV at the hotel and the ghost of Moe told him to kill his own family even though he knows that he loved his family wouldn't bring himself to kill them except for Bart. Homer is both crazy and stupid in this Halloween episode but would it be easier if Marge just kill him herself knowing that his insane drives him to kill his family anyway.

The 90s Simpsons and its Treehouse of Horrors was some of the best television ever. I would always be so excited to come back from grade school and it's Halloween week when these first aired. This episode is probably my favorite Halloween parody.

THATS WILLES TIME

I do adore the early Treehouse of Horrors, with the exception of The Shinning. It seems to be regarded as something of a classic, but I'm not so keen. It was the only story written by Bob Kushell, and find it a bit stupid and lazy. The other two stories in Treehouse 5 were good, and season 6 was still a great season, though with a lot of the staff beginning to leave, the cracks were definitely starting to appear, with the show becoming completely unwatchable just a few years later in season 10.

It was reasonably believable until Marge picked up Homer.

Homer screaming at his reflection had me on the floor 😂😂😂😂.

I had to watched this again after watching “The Shining.”

See it’s funny I watched this a lot as a kid so by the time I got round to being old enough to sit and watch The Shining I knew the majority of the story because of this episode and sat there like ooh this bit was in the Simpsons 🤣
