well explained info, good Job Jason.
im using R5 2600x but my motherboard is dead now, should i replace it with new board or move on upgrade to newer am5 ?
using it for moderate gaming, thanks
U didn t mention ASRock B650E TAICHI LITE has 24+2+1 Phase Power Design... For 300 euros at my region....
Ответитьgetting rid of my 13th gen blue screen, ordered the msi meg tomahawk b650 ddr5, what CPU do you recommend for this board, looking for something that can handle the new MSFS 2024 sim
ОтветитьThank you very much for covering this. I was looking into upgrading and I wanted to find some good quality boards with lots of connectivity options (Some boards are ridiculously expensive but only have 7 or 8 USB slots, wth...)
This helped out nicely.
Hey Jason! What do you think of the Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX V2 ATX AM5 Motherboard? It's currently on sale for me at $150 USD which seems great but will I be able to upgrade other parts without a hassle, such as gpu and cpu?
Ответитьmy friend i need u help, i have a ryzen 7 7700 which mobo should i buy? i'm looking to pair the r 7 7700 with a 4070 super
ОтветитьWhat to do think of MSI X670E GAMING PLUS WIFI Motherboard?
ОтветитьGreat video I think for my first PC I’ll be doing for the ryzen 7800X3D and most of the parts except the Ram are from MSI and cooler master big among them the MPG X870 carbon wifi since I’ll be editing and gaming I will most likely use all the slots but also that board is one of the best looking I’ve ever seen
ОтветитьI hope you do a video on the new zen 5 motherboards coming out soon.
Ответитьi biucking i am itx i am disleke
Ответитьi live uk no 5 pci
ОтветитьHi @PC Builder.. what about the Msi Mag B650M Mortar Wifi? is it possible for AMD 9600 series?
ОтветитьI have that asus prime with an R9 7950X. Waiting on the x870e and R9 R9 9950x after they are out a bit.
ОтветитьGood advice - started building PCs for me and friends way back in the 80's and still building a few per year, but was not up to date on motherboards. This video helped. Would have liked to see mATX boards in more than budget category. Was thinking a MSI MAG B650M Mortar Wifi, but will look into your recommendation.
Ответитьwhat audio codec do the Gigabyte B650 aorus elite ax boards use their site doesn't say specifically?
Ответитьi got the Asrock B650E Taichi lite a few months ago to pair with a 7800x3d and radeon 6950XT and couldn't be happier. the motherboard verry well could last me the entirety of the AM5 platform existence. my 1 complaint is i wish the PCIe release levers were a bit larger or relocated like on some other high end boards.
ОтветитьHow is the proart asus motherboard?
ОтветитьI am surprised you made no mention of either B650 PG Riptide and B650 Steel Legend. both of which run over the competition of any MOBO from 150-220 price range only beaten by B650 Taichi lite, the vrm and PCI5 lanes alone for that price makes other boards feel like rip offs
ОтветитьWhat is up with MB manufacturers not putting outputs for 5.1 sound systems on the back? This means YOU, ASRock and Gigabyte... do they expect me to toss my Z906s in the trash, or not hook up to my Yamaha CX-A5100 in the living room?
ОтветитьAnother one that looks REALLY nice but premium priced (~$450) is the Asus ProArt X670E one, it has an insane feature set and even supports ECC memory, and doesn't look to be missing anything the gaming boards have for tweaking. If I was going to go all out, this might be my choice. For mini-ITX on a budget, the Asrock A620 ITX board is $140 on Amazon and has eight 60A power stages (more than enough for the 9900x and below 9000s and all 7000X3Ds) and has memory OC'ing.
Nice to see my Asus B650E-F in the picks. When I bought mine, it was the cheapest way to get PCIE5 M.2 and GPU slots at around $250, no one else had anything really close and the Asrock boards weren't looking too good at the outset (remember the sticker residue fiasco?) Now you can get the MSI X670E Tomahawk for about the same price as the B650E-F, making the Asus look less attractive if I was buying today.
If you're building a budget system, there's nothing wrong with A620 boards. Most of them support EXPO/XMP, you're not putting PCIE5 stuff in a budget system anyway, and who cares about PBO - it doesn't do jack without a lot of tweaking and undervolting, so you end up with either no real performance gain or even a loss, OR a system that does great at benchmarks but is likely unstable. Just watch out for the VRMs on cheap boards, a lot of them are underpowered. Asrock steps it up to an acceptable level, some of the others are just pathetic, especially in ITX boards.
The B840, OTOH, I would avoid like the plague.
I just swapped my 14900k for a 7950X3D but I might swap it again for the 9950X when it comes out. But thanks for this video. I myself went with the MSI MAG Toma
hawk since it's what I also had on the intel side
ASRock B650E PG Riptide is awesome and coming to close price as MSI B650 Tomahawk, in some place even cheaper
ОтветитьMight be lower, might ne higher .
But what I've found in France.
ASROCK B650 PG Lightning WiFi.
- ±190€
- ±71°C for VRM after Cinebench stress tesr with a 7950X
- Wifi 6E ; Bluetooth 5.3
- 3 Nvme slot (1 in Gen 5, you might not buy a gen 5 Nvme, but the option is there)
- A lot of USB port.
- A lot of USB port in 3.1 (and 3.2 gen, because having only some goofy 2.0 USB port is sad in 2024)
- 17 phases for VRM (14+2+1)
- support 7200MT/s for dual channel
- The PCB is on 8 layer (better signal) with a additional non-scratch layer (low risk to accidentally damaged it)
- 2,5 Gb/s Ethernet (that's 312,5 MB/s)
- BIOS flash button, and Flashback.
Lemme know how much it cost in US
Just to put in perspective.
For Gen 4 Nvme (That's around 7 000 MB/s)
1 TB is around 90-100€
2 TB is around 145€
4 TB is around 230-250€.
So by definition. If you can find from a known brand a 4 TB Nvme 7 400MB/s (that's slightly faster than the Samsung 990 Pro) for 230€. You're good.
Knowing US. You might found again lower price than me in Europe.
Cheaper without being sus I've found was Lexar 4TB Nvme for 230€. 7400MB/s read, 7000 write.
MSI B650 Gaming Plus Wifi, ASRock B650 PG Lightning or ASRock B650 PRO RS? Which one will be better for Ryzen 7 7800X3D. I don't really care about wi-fi and bluetooth.
Maybe go fo MSI B650 Tomahawk Wi-FI. I heard MSI have a lot of problems with all that expo problems, boot problems, BSODs and etc. Is that already solved?
Great info as always, but the Asus B650-A and B650E-F list ALC4080 audio (can even be seen in your video). Cheers
Ответитьon the Mini, I would cut the MB Panel around the M.2 'on the back to easy access
ОтветитьI have the Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX which I snagged on sale for $159 a few months ago. I think it's a great value at this price, with its normal $179 price being a bit much. I feel like I could probably surf this board to the end of AM5's life cycle.
ОтветитьBeg to differ I’d buy pci 5 just incase for future proofing you never know when it comes in handy
ОтветитьI have a X670e Creator ProArt
ОтветитьWhat if 9950x3d turns out to be fastest in gaming, do I need x670/x870 board? For gaming
ОтветитьHi pc builder I like your video can you say me what is the best build with ryzen 5 7600X ( for cheap please )
ОтветитьIs that worth to overpay for B650e e gaming (320$) for next 9950x or should I stop on other b650f or smth like that for 170-200$?
ОтветитьHonestly after having the 12 core 5900X, I've come to see that it felt like overkill at first. But now after having that extra head room I would never go below an 8 core 16T. it's nice to be able to do multiple things.. Watching vid's while editing other vid's or playing games and streaming. That 9900X looks appealing depends on the price though..
ОтветитьAmazon website say the tomahawk supports 7000.and 8000 series..........
ОтветитьWas starting to feel left out but when I got to the end of the video, the very last recommendation was my own motherboard, Asus Tuf x670e, bought it in January 2022, nice recommendation :-) I agree completely!! Since it was bought right at the introduction of AM5, I selected the most affordable and highly expandable board with PCIe5 GPU and M2 pcie5 slots, plus many extra M2 pcie4 and one M2 pcie3 slots, hoping to get 5 years and several CPU choices and/or upgrades out of one motherboard :-) To populate the board, started with a 7700x (fastest gaming cpu at the time), superflower 1000w power supply (platinum), and 7900xtx (founder's edition), and ddr5-6000 corsair ram
ОтветитьI bought the GIGABYTE X670E AORUS PRO X didn't see you mention it but I was skimming through maybe I missed it!
ОтветитьHey I bought 3 of the omen 27qd on sale for $300, however it seems like there is a manufacturing defect which made them all the have a misalignment between the stand and the monitor. It drives me crazy.
No wonder they are on sale for an unspecified amount of time from Best Buy. I recommend looking into it before recommending it again.
no asrock itx for 9000?
ОтветитьPlease guide me its urgent.... i have 12600kf cpu. Is deepcool ak400 is enough ? Even in full stree... please urgent
ОтветитьLove your content man. Love the blast of up to date detailed info.
ОтветитьThe ASRock X670E Pro RS is going for $230 right now which is a steal for what you get!
ОтветитьSo, I ended up going with an MSI MEG ACE X670E. There were a couple reasons why I chose that, but the biggest was that it had a 10Gbe network adapter onboard. There were other features that I liked, but the ability to have 10Gbe onboard instead of needing a card was a big one. The M.2 layout was also solid and I liked the cooling solution a great deal. I didn't see enough value to go to a "Godlike" at $500 more to just get an LCD readout screen, basically.
ОтветитьMin itx mother bord
Ответитьim upgrading to AMD from intel 9th gen... this helped out. i currently have maximus hero xi but im scared to go with asus now i just want reliable motherboard hopefully LED error code indicator . i dont want msi so im stuck with eiterh asrock or asus. ill wait few days after launch to decide on my final pick though.
ОтветитьBest MOBO's haven't been released yet broooooo. If you're buying a 9000 might as well wait for x870
ОтветитьBest Motherboard for Ryzen 9950X + RTX 5090 ???
ОтветитьI’ve just bought Rog X670E Gene for $510. I was planning to use it for matx gaming pc. What would be your advice? Should I return it for cheaper new matx b850 boards? Thanks.
ОтветитьSurprised that the ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi ATX AM5 Motherboard was not mentioned. It's white, has three m.2 slots, WiFi 6e, and pcie gen 5 for the graphics card and top m.2. real shame 😞
Ответить
