AOS isn't that bad. I've been a fan for as long as yall actually a bit more. I got my first black ork kit at my local hobby store in 1996 at the magical age of 6. My grandma took me. It's one of my most precious memories. I do understand the loss, felt for Old World, but there are lots of new really sick models now because of AOS. Like the Varanguard.

The “we need more recruits” angle for FSM that grinds everybody down under the heel of fascism seems like the way to make everyone happy/mad about it.

As one of the minority of women in the WH community I totally agree that the FSM discorse needs to ro be shut down. I fell in love with 40k playing a hulking man in a suit beating the shit out of Orks. The grim dark setting, the lived in feel. All of it. The exclusively of the Space Marines faction being only available for men, and the exploration of brotherhood bonds is what makes the world building feel unique compared to other mainstream sci-fi universes. I respect it a lot.
