Yup
ОтветитьOne of those songs I wish would keep going on and on.
ОтветитьSpringsteen singing back-up?
ОтветитьFirst and foremost way better than Survivors “Eye of the Tiger . Second, the Ides of March were competing with Chicago in the early 70s and they both slayed that horn section.
ОтветитьThey played at my college in 1971 or 72. What a great band.😊😊
Ответить❤
ОтветитьBo Bice (American Idol) does a great rendition of this song with a killer guitar solo. But for me I’m always for the original. Olds cats still holding it down 🎸🥁
ОтветитьLIVE
ОтветитьTop notch musicians
ОтветитьThis is an unbelievable performance.
ОтветитьFor a moment i was a young 20 year old ready to be drafted in to the us army and then Vietnam!
ОтветитьSinger Jim Peterik was also a member of the eighties band Survivor. He wrote alot of songs for numerous artists including 38 Special.
ОтветитьI’ve Loved this Song ever since I First Heard It On The Radio when it came Out back in the day. I didn’t know that this band originally came from Chicago many Years later is when I was Surprised to find that out ! Born and then raised in Chicago myself .
ОтветитьIt’s a song about pedophilia.” I’m the friendly stranger in the black sedan won’t you step inside my car? I got pictures candy I’m a lovable man, I’d like to take you to the nearest star” “ I love ya ,need ya, want ya, got to have you child”
ОтветитьSolo tuvieron este exito , pero que exito , una obra maestra que perdurará por siempre ♾️
ОтветитьLenoid and friends DOES a GREAT cover probably just as good if not BETTER
ОтветитьWe played this song during a halftime show in 1971 featuring the Miami Carol City Marching Chiefs, the finest high school band in the State of Florida. How do I know? I was the Drum Major.
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьAwesome! How many years has we’ve been singing this? Over 50, and he still belting it out in Key. You can tell the difference between a singer who constantly pushes beyond his range and one who stays within it. He has definitely stayed within his range or he wouldn’t be talking a little on singing after this many years. And boy does he sound great!!
ОтветитьAnything Jim Peterik touches is gold
ОтветитьNever heard this song before but that brass refrain at the beginning and repeated throughout the song sounds so familiar. Has it been used elsewhere like a TV theme tune or another song?
Ответитьsoul power
Ответитьgreat group
ОтветитьThe poor man's Blood, Sweat, and Tears.
ОтветитьSounds like a Blood, Sweat and Tears song
ОтветитьJimbo has the best pipes!
ОтветитьGod....2024 is almost here and this Amazing music.. Masterpiece is still... Timeless !!! Mr Dilly.. Approved !! 👍🎸😎
Ответить1969 this track was being played on the radio in metro NYC. An event called the battle of the bands was a contest concert in Westfield, NJ held at the high school football place in '69. Ides of March got up there and absolutely nailed this track. I was 8 years old and standing on the roof of the food vendor building and watching from way behind. This was the first time that I had heard music live from what was on the radio. It was my favorite radio track at that time.
ОтветитьNo words...............a forever WOW!!!
ОтветитьSo Jim P was nearly 70 when this performance went down. Let that sink in.... 70. Amazing musician, song writer, live performer and friggin athlete. Rock on Handsome stranger.
ОтветитьLove him on TV . Wonderful on collectors call. Amazing. Can't put in words. by the way wish I had one of his guitars
ОтветитьThis is truly outstanding and puts most modern music to shame. This sounds every bit as good as the record but with live visuals and atmosphere to go with it. FANTASTIC!!!
ОтветитьMakes you wanna drive really really faaaaaaaaast!
ОтветитьWhat a awesome tune from the past the horn section is magnificent it reminds me of blood sweat and tears
Jim Peterik nails it
Love the video but the silent intro sucks
ОтветитьMonster tune😊
ОтветитьMan, that horn section.
Ответить😂This is "Swing"!🎉🔥🔥
ОтветитьThe trumpet guy looks like the Music Professor guy
ОтветитьI got pictures. I got candy.😅
WTF🎉
Se q estás cariño ❤ te amo
ОтветитьAWESOME TIMES 😊FEEL LIKE I'M EIGHTEEN AGAIN❤ GREAT MUSIC
BACK THEN😊
I still have the 45 of this. To find a live version of this song is incredible.
ОтветитьI can remember when my 8Track Player and Craig Pioneer Speakers jamming right now. When this song came up. Oh! The memories! Wow¡!!!!!
ОтветитьDavid from royal pacific prankster
ОтветитьGraduated in 1970 still one of my favorite songs
ОтветитьI was born in 1984.....I think I showed up late to the party.
ОтветитьI always thought this was a black guy singing it. I guess not. Love this song, but with the world as it is today with child kidnapping it makes the lyrics a bit cringy.
ОтветитьThis is the first song my husband and I danced to in October 24, 1968
ОтветитьSo outstanding!!! Timeless song!!!👍👊
