i remember watching this on MTV live! Biggest Layne fan ever!!! RIP!
i finally went to see these guys two years ago since Laynes death! I cried the entire time!!! NEVER WILL ALICE N CHAINS BE THE SAME

30yrs later and its still the best and religiously listen while i work.

Crazy. Layne Staley died 6 years later. But this would be his last live performance. He basically disappeared and was found dead 2 weeks after he died in 2002. Alone from a fatal Speedball.

One of my dearest friends refers to this album as "his Bible". This performance is holy to so many who have suffered in this world. Layne Staley will never be forgotten by any of those who he has touched in the seas of sorrow.

Layne is like an aged whiskey, Jerry is like leatherwood honey. An incredible synergy and each perfect in their own way.

AIC in my opinion is the most underrated band of the grunge era. In fact of any era. The play list is extraordinary. Jerry Cantrell is an amazing song writer, both he and especially Layne have amazing voices. I recently ranked them as the greatest American band of all time. They are above Aerosmith, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, etc. absolutely number 1.

The soaring beauty of the Heaven Beside You chorus made them instantly my favourite band.

Theres was an electricity in the air that you could literally feal during the early 90s from these Seattle based bands or maybe it was just all heroin i did.

Seeing them in 92 will always be one of my greatest memories, was a fan from the moment man in the box premiered on MTV, was so hooked in I remember waiting for dirt to come out & even buying a copy of the soundtrack for the movie singles just to be able to listen to would cuz it came out months before dirt. Why can't good music still be a thing, this shit today sucks bad
