as far as i know all the homeworlds game had units that would call out that they are taking loses

I was playing Starfield whilst listening to this, and the voice actor for the companion Barret is the same as the VA for Intel and it Was So Disorenting.

Hold the mouse, this man never played a Homeworld game? Good for him that he has no clue what he is missing and so he doesn't get disappointed about everything they fucked up about the game. The game previous a few weeks ago was mixed with mostly negative recent reviews and it is now both mostly negative.

So can anyone give me an explanation about those giant ship/stations. Are they derelict or occupied. Did some sort of precursors build them? Why are they so big?

This game had so much potential. The ships can be fairly easily rebalanced, but the story needs a near complete rewrite, and abandoning the storyboard style cutscenes was such a waste of potential.

This just made me less patient for the nebulous fleet command conquest update somehow

After seeing the reviews on Steam, and hearing what Mandalore had to say about this....I think I'll reserve my money for something better.

Megagames are the sort of thing I wish I had an army of minions to attempt. I just don't have those kinds of numbers.
As for the gameplay, I wish there were an ECM system specifically to prevent those big enemy jumps. Though the story might need a few extra lines of dialogue by the sounds of it.

Does anyone remember the dreadnought things from the second game well during the mission where you have to destroy the enemy one i sent my whole fleet my dreadnought included to fight there fleet my fleet lost the only things to survive was a carrier and my dreadnought so i sat my carrier just outside their sensor range and just kept harrasing that thing with bombers ignoring the rest of their fleet that survived i eventually killed it and it gave me time to build my fleet back up i lost so many bombers

I was very guilty of the salvage corvette spam in H1, especially since I played an early version that allowed you to claim more units than the unit cap would allow you to build... I had extra frigates, and capital ships......

this is the ruins of a franchise... Dumb Swett Baby propaganda, idiotic plot, no tactical depth. After 21 years, There is not a single achievement in this game except graphics. Basically, this is shit wrapped in a beautiful wrapper, in the hope of selling it.

The story is just bad. It's a damn shame. I was looking forward to it. The stuff before the delay looked better. but these new CGI cutscenes are just, eh.

Now that Homeworld 3 has popped up on the Sweet Baby Inc. detected Steam list has made me rethink.
The ending does seem very confused and out of place, when compared to all other Homeworld games.
We have a villainous woman of colour, who has enslaved thousands of innocent people as her mindless battledrones and she’s probably killed millions at this point, but we just let her go to “be at peace” or whatever ?

Sweet baby inc. ruining another franchise yet again

Random ship minding it's own business has to dodge a perfectly cut chunck of asteroid because somebody wanted to use hyperdrive as a big chisel

one thing that I struggled with in Homeworld Remastered was how squishy my ships were... made reacting to sudden contacts extremely difficult and usually resulted in me investing heavily into an overpowered fleet or failing the mission. Figure I just didn't know enough of the game to properly react, but at least it would be easier for me in 3.

What? The cutscenes are awful!

Gearbox can never make this look playable no matter how much they pay for these people to showcase HW3. The campaign of this game is the equivalent of a corridor shooter, it has zero depth and it's there as placholder to the real content of the game: the horrendously written story and those overly long and awful cutscenes that tells you almost nothing but personal dramas.
