This film also reminds me of a movie lover getting the full sail film package and having all that equipment and a bit of $ and time and all it is like is handing a monkey a camera and watching the film they make after hearing about a film made by a monkey online. We arent watching because the monkey is going to be a good director more than just a monkey holding a camera.

TL;DR A Symbiote Spider-man plot could have mixed with the Death of Gwen Stacy to give us a different idea of how this cornball edgefest of a "film" could have gone


You know what would be an interesting twist on Gwen Stacy's death? Combine it with the Symbiote Suit saga. Peter would become more aggressive and push people away, but he still had that sort of care and concern for them, so he swings off to clear his head. Goblin attacks (this time with a more convincing set of capped fangs so he can close his mouth and talk normally) and reveals that Gwen was captured and he was ready to drop her. He does so and you hear her neck break, so Peter will end up feeling the immense amount of guilt, pain, and sorrow that comes from the preventable loss of a loved one. Soon, the Symbiote will feed on this and transform his sadness and anger into a rampaging alien monster.

Spider-Man becoming the first Venom. He attacks Osborne with reckless abandon, tanking everything Goblin has outside of incendiary grenades, revealing the fire weakness, along with the blasts showing the weakness to sound. He'd beat Osborne to near death. The smallest amount of Peter Parker fights off Venom in his mind. The two would have their internal struggle. It would be an extension of the battle of wills and would become a true fight within his mind, back in his original suit and fighting his black suit at first, and then it becomes what he is currently: Venom.

I think in the film, Eddie Brock should be Peter's friend that he ended up pushing away the hardest while under the suit's control, but Eddie would see Venom Peter struggling and fighting to break free. Eddie would bury his resentment and would try to help Peter get out of Venom, being pulled in after freeing him. His unintentional hatred towards Peter would be released when Venom takes control, but he runs away, apologizing to Peter before being fully overtaken. The last remnants of Peter's friend.

To be fair....what exactly distinguishes a fan film from a corporation-made adaptation? Technically every Spiderman movie has been a fan film. Especially every one made since Stan Lee died. Into the Spiderverse is a high budget fan film.

I’m so glad I clicked this. Not for the review, but for the recap of The Body (Buffy S5). Over 20 years ago, my friends and I watched this episode air and unfold. We knew something special was happening. Not within the Buffyverse; within the realm of quality television. Buffy always walked a fine line between silly and real, but this was real AF. Just watching snippets with you talking over them brought chills all the way up to my whole face, literally. I got emotional from the memory. My best friend and roommate died suddenly 9 years later; he’s the one who introduced me to the show. I didn’t recover for a very, very long time, and I remember vividly thinking… “this is just like The Body episode.” No one could recreate that without knowing exactly what it feels like, and the fact that it was done on a YA TV show made it all the more poignant. It was nominated for the Best Episode Emmy that year; no one remembers who actually won it - just that Buffy deserved it and still does.
